My lawyer is telling me that my husband need a co-signer because he don't make the much money for a family of 6 he only make 24k a year what should I do I'm my sister in law can help but she only make about 15k a year will the be Enough

Your husband will need a co-sponsor. If I understand correctly the co-sponsor needs to make enough on their own to meet the threshold, NOT a combination of the two people. I may be wrong on that part but someone else can correct me if that's the case.

nope, if she is single for a family of 2, which would be herself and her brother, the minimum is over 18K so he needs to find another joint sponsor

I don't mean to sound rude but this isn't something that just happens out of nowhere. It shouldn't be a surprise and your lawyer should have told you this from the very start.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

For a CR1 or IR1 visa case the "joint sponsor" can be a US citizen or US legal permanent resident. They must have sufficient income to qualify for their own family size PLUS the intending immigrant. The petitioning US Citizen DOES NOT combine income with the joint sponsor unless they are part of the same household and then only maybe. It depends on the exact circumstances.

Yes it can be an LPR.

But if all else fail can't your husband get another job? Like i asked earlier, he will need it if he's gonna provide for 6 people no?
