September filer getting moved around alot? Which processing time for CSC?

25 posts in this topic

Ok so I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this. Me and my husband filed an I-130 at the beginning of September. Since then our case has been moved around an awful lot. Today I spoke to a lady who was very very helpful. She was wanting to process a service request because she sees no reason for our case to be held up like this. Unfortunately we are still within our time frame so she was unable to process. Now she told me our case is currently at CSC but upon looking at the USCIS processing times I cant find my option under the I130 options. Im a US Citizen filing for a spouse but all they have are the following:

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative Permanent resident filling for a spouse or child under 21 September 3, 2011

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for an unmarried son or daughter over 21 January 19, 2010

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative Permanent resident filling for an unmarried son or daughter over 21 October 4, 2010

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a married son or daughter over 21 June 19, 2010

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a brother or sister February 11, 2010

So which one do I go by? Help! This is getting so frustrating!

Did she happen to tell you when the time frame is? Im almost coming up on 5 months and want to know if I could put a request in at 5 months. As for you being a September filer, your case is probably in Orlando as you were told on the 18th, as that is your local office. No I-130s are kept at the CSC unless they were received before August 15. All you can do is sit patiently like the rest of us and pray for an approval soon! I hope my answers are helpful!

are you speaking to AN ISO or A CSR?

CSRs are useless,

and ISO will tell you exactly where the casefile IS.

She said that CSC is on June 29th at this time. So pretty much you're saying I should call back and get transferred up? Pretty sure I was talking to a CSR. She said five months is what they are going by at this time.

not not 'pretty much'

but waaaaaaaaaaaaay past that mark

to

Tis a must

as CSRs can't see anything when the casefile went through MSC.

An ISO sees all.

Well I spoke with an ISO and she said it was indeed at the California Service Center. She said there is a discrepancy on the uscis website which was why my particular Us Citizen filing for spouse was not there. She told me they are working on June 29th cases at this time and that if I have not heard anything in 30 days ( sadface ) I should call to see if I can get a service request going.

I believe there is a delay at the CSC as they filed my I-129 on 20 July 2012 and normally they provess petitions within their 5 month goal. Myself, along with many others, from July are currently being delayed for some reason. Many other. I think it's safe to say, also, the Holidays aren't any help.
