Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada

Event Description
Review Date : April 14, 2014
Embassy Review : I got the account from my husband as he was the one who went to the interview. After a six hour drive to Montreal from where he lives, he said the hardest part was finding parking with all the french signs He arrived an hour early and was let in. They took him through security and made him turn his phone off completely. After taking a number it was a bit of a wait in the waiting room. His appointment was at 10am and they called him right around that time. The person interviewing him was courtesy and just asked him general questions. Nothing very in-depth. They asked how long we have been married, they asked about his parents since his dad was born in the US but moved before he was 3. They did give us a slight delay. My husbands passport expires in May and he plans on renewing it this week. They said to send in the renewed passport and then they would send out his Visa but all in all to consider ourselves approved. He was out of there by 10:23.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
