You can always schedule info passes regardless of where the case is. You should look up that info. But im sure your Congressman can help as well. Just giving a suggestion.

We have a NOA2 of Dec 7 but what they told us matters is when they receive it. First few calls they told us it was received on Dec 17, one more recent call said it was received on Dec 20. Various replies to how long it takes (from date received) "10 to 20 business days", "15 business days", "20 business days" and Friday he said "sorry it takes longer because of the holidays". If the holidays are taken out I guess its only been 14 business days even though its been a month since our NOA2.

Still nothing for me. Approved on the 11th. Arrived on 24th. This process sucks. Sighhh......

I hope Ndu26 gets hers soon being that shes pregnant.

awwww thats very sweet. i didnt call friday as i was not physically up to it but i sent an email over the weekend. Today now, i made the silly mistake of trying to give NVC time to setlle down for the day before i call and now their line has been CONSTANTLY ringing busy since 1215pm. I hope it means they all decided to stay away from the phones and get all our cases into their system and also sort through their mail room for people like Emily S' file.

I get very ####### when it gets to this stage.....I have had the phone in my hand non stop for several hours now and been redialling without success....patience! patience! I hear in my head. lol

I understand. Just keep saying breathe. Thats what i tell myself to keep from getting mad. The special police visited my husband today for his police report. Asking had he killed anyone before, is he a burglar or robber, terrorist or smuggle people. Hmmmmmm im saying to myself how many people are confessing this way????? Lol but im glad we are making progress. They will give him his police report in another week.

We will finish the police reports before nvc give us a case number. I guess this is a good thing. Sighhhhhhh

from my previous calls, two reps told me my file was received dec 20th while one said dec17th. I am used to that from the experience when i filed for my mom. just seems odd why the dates keep changing.

LOL. I agree. who really will confess that way but at least they make some effort to screen. yay!!!!!!! I just got through on the phone so now the wait to speak with someone :ot2:

Its good to have all those civil documents ready just abt the time NVC is ready with your case number. I hate to be behind them. It is more nerve racking for me when they give me all i need to move forward and i see I am holding myself up.

I have never experienced their line this busy before. I preferred it when they had the automated voice response system going on. Infact i hardly opted to speak with a human then. Well now that i finally got through, I will stay on until i speak with someone even if it means i arrive late at work cos I am supposed to be leaving for work in abt 45mins.
