The NBC sent our petition to the NVC on December 7th. Today I called the NVC and they told me they just put us in the computer system yesterday. She said we should get emails sometime soon.

Have you received your case # and IIN #? And provided them your email addresses? We were approved on 12/12 and NVC received it today but does not have a case number yet. JUST KEEP CALLING EVERYDAY NO MATTER WHEN THEY TELL YOU TO CALL BACK

My approval was 91 days. It felt forever but not so bad. And no RFEs. Im praying I can do NVC with no RFEs. Do you know if original marriage certificate from a

previous marriage is needed?

It only took 4 weeks for us (don't ask me why lol) I guess I'm just really relaxed cause I'm used to be separated since my husband is in the military so after deployments this is a walk in the park for me lol

Hmm I have only always read about divorce decrees, don't think you need the marriage certificate but I'm not 100% sure

4 weeks is great! Military families from what I have seen usually go fast. Im not sure about all the time.

Thanks for the answer even if not 100%.

I was wondering why my previous certificate would be needed. Only current marriage cert and proof of divorce should be the most important.

Mid December approval here.

My understanding is that you shouldn't wait for NVC, but start calling 1 or 2 weeks after NOA2, which would be end of December for me.

Do you all do that?

Did you receive anything from NVC yet (mail, email)?

I emailed NVC on Dec 9 (6 days after the NOA2) & they emailed me back Dec 14 that they recently received the petition.

I called NVC on Dec 19 to inquire if they have assigned a case number & they told me that father's case is still not in the system. blush.gif

That's great if communicating via email works that well! Even though it may not actually help the process.

Which email do you use?

Thank you for your reply, it's really helpful to see your experience and dates.
