I'm gathering all my stuff and ready to make copies. Do they want copies of all the pages of my passport or my certificate can I just make a copy of that or do they want both to be on the safe side.

Also is their any personal info on my passport if I do make copies that I'll need to blur out?

What are some personal things when making copies and sending evidence like passport, certificates, emails, phone records that is recommended to blur out that they really don't need to see. I ask because I see people here saying blur out your personal info. ????

Thank you!

When you make copies of items for your application, there is nothing that you need to blur out. It is all needed to prove your statements. In reference to blurring out confidential information, alot of people do blur out information that they are mailing, just in case it gets lost or stolen, but I hand delivered my information.

For your US passport copies include the front page, and all pages including blank pages. Without them you will receive a letter saying that they need the missing pages. For your certificate, you can copy and send that as well. When sending your passport, it must be a US issued passport, so they were suggesting to send both passport and certificate just in case.

You only need to send in either a copy of your certificate or copies of all pages of your passport. Either document proves you are a US citizen, regardless of whether you were born here or not. I am a US citizen through my parents because I was not born here. All I included in my packet was all pages of my passport.

Either. You only need one or the other. One is not better than the other. Both are equal.

Read carefully interpret literally.

If it says "send A OR send B" then either A or B will work. sending both will not help nor will it hurt. They have no preference. You need to prove you are a citizen. Either does that.
