Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 11, 2013
Embassy Review : Hi everyone, I know that I’m posting this a little bit late but forgive me. My husband’s review wasn’t bad it only took him 20 min. When he entered inside the consulate he waited like an hour then he was been called by a Moroccan guy he took only the Medical envelope and asked him: Have you been married before? Has your wife been married before? Is that the first marriage for both of you? Do you have kids with your wife? After he was asked to have a seat and wait till his name get called.
Three girls were called before him by an old American lady with short hair. He said he can hear her and see her pointing with her index finger to one of them. The interview with the girls took at least 45 min to an hour but one of them wasn’t approved & I don’t know why. After like 2 hours waiting my husband got called by the American old lady she told him to swear that everything in these papers are correct then to pick up the phone & have a seat. She asked him:
How did you meet your wife in details?
Tell me when did you tell your wife that you love her & when did you ask her for marriage?
Does your wife send you money?
Are you going to live with your wife? It was a weird question. He said yes then she said but your wife she is supporting another person in there and living with her. He forgot that I did mention to him that I’m supporting someone that I did a favor to them. So his answer was yes she is supporting her Mother and she is with her now, yes my mom she is here just on vacation & treatment at the same time. He was lucky that they didn’t say anything but he only forgot because of the fear and the pressure of he interview that is all.
After he was asked do you have any pictures? He gave her the photo book that has more than 50 pictures she only saw 3 of them and was given back everything even the original papers that I sent to NVC with the original marriage certificate, taxes & translations. He wasn’t asked for the Taxes or anything that was all simple and easy for me but not for him but I understand him at least after all this long wait he got approved.
His interview was done around 11:20 am Morocco time and got a phone call from him at 6:30 am here on Thursday. I was so scared and my heart was bouncing so fast and I only want to hear I got it honey I got it and we will be together soon. I was so happy when I heard that. Yay he will be here Inchaa allah by the end of this month.
I’m wishing a good luck and happy ending to all people that they are waiting for their spouses or husbands to be with them. I hope that my review will be a little helpful for you guys.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
