all that stuff mentioned above, it's BEST to get it into the casefile, the I-130, on I-130 submittal into USCIS.

Not do that? you have another chance at NVC with the DS-230.

Bringing it on interview day is hit or miss, the Consular Officer is busy , cannot make time to review the 10 inches of evidence you not submit prior.

Submit it prior to interview day, USCIS or NVC? The Consular Officer SEES it before interview day, as the entire casefile that's been gathered up at USCIS and NVC is in their office for a few weeks prior to interview day.

Good Luck !

Oh Is it possible to send more evidence you didnt send in the I-130?? Wow I didn't know that!

I just now called my landline phone company and they can get 3 months free and $2.50 for every other monthly bill back to April 2009 for $95.00 total cost. But I have used www onesuite.com for prepay long distance. I wil try to get records from them. We were married on April 14, 2012 in Bandung. I love the city and the people there. Merry has not come to visit because I did not think she could. I am here to leaarn if she can be here with me. I appreciate any help I can get. It took 5 months to get her paper work straightened out. Her name on her birth certificate was spelled wrong. Her passport name was spelled right. It is a long story but we have it right now and we are almost finished with her G325A form that she will send me. Then I will send the I-130 and the 2 G325 forms. I have been reading these forms before registering. Please advise me of what to do. thanks JeffnMerry

if your wife has a different name on her birth certificate and passport i think your wife needs to fix it immidiatelly..it will passed USCIS but the US Embassy won't tolerate it..the consulate will tell her to fix it and it will delay her visa.. one of my friends got administrative processing because of this problem :( but if your wife got lucky she will get her visa in 3 days after she changed/fix the name on one of documents, either passport or birth certificate...

Good Luck

No worries tex. We got married (2) days after we met in person and had smooth sailing.

I had to be back to work 2 1/2 weeks after we got married. We never otherwise had a question or delay or RFE. It IS good to accompany your wife to the interview however I did not and we still had no issues.

The Jakarta embassy didnt read or ask for any evidence either. We had it, but never needed it.

Congrats and best of luck!

NOTE: I sent no phone records, no photos, no affidavits, no extraneous ####### that all these people insist you have to have. I sent exactly what the I130 / I129F asked for.

We live in houston. Send a note if you have any questions about our case. We K3'd through Jakarta in 2007.

OH about that name - make sure she goes to the immigration office in Jakarta and gets her passport updated (on the 3rd or 4th page they do a name change and stamp it) if she wants to change her last name. That way, they (the embassy) will issue the visa (and the subsequent green card) in her married name. It cost my wife about 10-15 dollars to do that and our reward was a visa, green card, drivers license, and all following ID in her married name (my last name). When her passport was renewed last year it was renewed in her married name negating the need to page over to the stamp every time we took a plane trip

They (the embassy) go by the name on the passport

Hi, I am new here. I knew my wife by phone 4 years before I visited her in Indonesia from Texas. My question is will I be automatically denied because I married her on my first visit after being there 2 weeks? I could only stay in Indonesia for 30 days. I have chronic back pain and made it hard to be in the plane 35 hours? Please help. Thank you. JeffnMerry

..........My wife tried an agent (which is just a con man scam artist) that tried for 65.00 twice to get her visa to match her passport that she had when she went to Singapore. He then said she needed to hire a 800.00 lawyer to change her passport so she corrected the spelling of her birth certificate last name and IDcard and her family neighborhood registery name. All of her family birth certificates were spelled wrong. In my wifes name they changed the letter Y to a letter J. Her brother birth certificate had his middle name as his last name. What is a K3 and what is a RFE ? thanks JeffnMerry

Does anyone use Vonage for international phone long distance? I have read good and bad reviews. I have spent a fortune in long distance phone bills. Vonage advertizes 25.99 with tax it really is 33.00 for unlimited minutes (3000 minutes really). Plus I have to pay for my DSL internet service. I am sure people here are experts on international long distance costs. thanks Jeff n Merry

We have been using it to call Thailand for years. Works great.

My wife just went to the immigration office with her marriage book/passport and got her name on her passport updated. I filed the petition with (my) family name aka my last name as her last name (family name). The embassy then issued the visa with my last name. Very simple. No con. No lawyer. It's a routine service. As long as it is done before the interview she will be good to go.

A K3 visa used to be the "quick" spouse visa but the IR1/CR1 visas are being processed as fast as the K3's used to be. This site still has a K3 section with all the info if you wish to tab through for entertainment. It required filing an I129F/I130, skipped the NVC step, went directly to the embassy, and was rewarded with a 2-year multi-entry visa for quick entry into the US. The purpose of the K3 category was to get families together quickly as the immigrant visas used to take a year or more to process. At the time we originally filed K3 took 5 1/2 months vs. the average 9 months to get a CR1.

An RFE is a request for evidence indicating that you foolishly and irresponsibly did not send in all the documentation that is required to process your case LOL. Very common on here where there is a higher and higher interest in sending in hundreds of pages of unnecessary nonsense while leaving out the important stuff that is listed on the instruction forms.

We lived in Saudi for 3 years. Our home phone was a vonage phone which means that anyone in the US could pick up a phone, make a local call, and it would ring in Saudi. We still have that phone here in Tx. My wife had a vonage phone in Jakarta while we were waiting for her visa so our calls back and forth were free. It's a little band-intensive for the Jakarta internet services but works great with their cable internet. Calls now from Tx to Saudi on Vonage are like 8 cents/min. It's very cheap. I also used Pingo for calls to Jakarta - google it and their rates were cheap and their service was pretty clear.

...........I made a mistake here....we tried twice to get her passport name spelling to match her misspelled birth certificate, not as I stated here...we tried twice to get her visa to match her passport

Skype to Go is by far the cheapest for me anyway. I buy a monthly subscription for USA calls, its about 7 dollars a month and give 11000 mintues talking time for that month. In the section Skype to Go I inputed my SO landline and mobile number and it gives me a Greek landline number to call. So basically I make a local call and get to talk to him on his mobile phone. Hope that helps.

I love skype! I use it for work.

I paid for a US number (I use it mostly out of canada) and I have a canada/us plan unlimited for 2.95/mo + the 11.50 or whatever for my US number every 3 months. It's absolutely wonderful!

Prior to that, I used to talk to my husband on skype (skype to skype) every night when we were first dating.

I third the Skype plan. You can have a plan to just call a specific country for a certain number of minutes a month. When I call from my computer in Denmark, it shows up as a local or unlisted number in America.
