Off topic: Can the one being petitioned cancel the petition? If yes, how? Thanks!

Yes the beneficiary can cancel, the "how" part would depend on the current status of the petition (if its still with USCIS or NVC).

hello everyone

i don't know what's going on at USCIS ( vermont and california center). i'm anxious about the slow rate of approving F2A cases in those. although my case is 28 of april 2011 and now my case completed at NVC but i feel worries about a likely retrogression before getting current. what do you think guys? there are some applicants whose PD is so close to become current but still not approved at USCIS. that sucks.

I don't post often, but as a lurker I often see felicitations from other cultures during holidays that I don't always understand (Eid, etc.) However, I'd like to welcome all of us who are striving to live the American Dream in celebrating a holiday that we can all agree has the right sentiment. In many ways it's uniquely American, as it doesn't matter what religion, color, gender or nationality you are. Be thankful for what you have, particularly things like loving families (no matter how far away they are). Share food and laughter with what friends and family you do have, and get ready for having more at the table next year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Doesn't matter how uscis work or how slow Vermont approve case.

There will be no no no Absolutely No retrogression.

Because No earlier PD is left so there no possibility of retro.....

To retro.... they have to show us big jump first.....which they can't now.

not to worry Vermont will approve all before we become current.

my PD is MAY 2011. and still no NOA 2 but I am positive to be approved completed current and done.

Agree..... First need to have reason for talk about retro...For now we can expect slow movement like we see but not retro. don't put your selfs on bad mood.just think about good and more faster forward movement guys. And Happy Thanksgiving
