I don’t believe that CSC processing time is accurate as the USCIS has already started showing k1 process for august members – My timeline is jumping up everyday even though I know it not necessarily when I will get my NOS2 done.

Can someone explain how this works

Thank you

The timeline on VJ will fluctuate because it's based on fellow VJ-ers updating (or not) their timelines. While the timeline is a good guide, it's in no way tied to what's actually happening at USCIS.

Hi Mamichou,

We are August applicants (beginning of August, to be specific) and we are being processed through CSC as well.

I'm wondering...what evidence do you have that USCIS is processing August filers.

It's been 12 weeks for us (to the date) since NOA1 and I was just wondering what you've heard about August thus far.

It's surprising to me because I've heard that CSC (like VSC) is starting to slow down a bit.

Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Hi, I would like to ask how did you know that the CSC is now processing the August filers' petitions? You've got any liable sources? Because we are also under CSC, we filed petition last Sept. 1 and now waiting for our NOA2.

Thanks! :)

Honestly, I am started to get pissed off at that whole stupid US immigration system. I have lived in the US for over 3 years before filling and now i am away from my fiance and he is away from his son. Why? because it freaking takes 5/6 months to process a stupid sheet of paper ! If it wasn't for Ron not being fluent in french, i would never put one foot back in this country ever again ! Sometimes i'm thinking of cancelling everything and have him live here (he wouldn't mind if he was fluent, but he is only learning) . Plus i've always thought my country to be much better than the unfair US system, i made a sacrifice for my fiance and family, and what? I have to wait for that....

So yeah CSC was moving along pretty fast and they suddenly stop processing just before it is my turn of course, Also i have noticed that there were very few end of july/August CSC fillers on VJ, is it a reason why timelines are not moving? Anyway if an election is affecting that honestly i don't understand. That country pisses me off honestly....

I'm probably going to visit my fiance on the VWP once before i get the visa because it is really getting annoying. And by the time i have the green card i will make sure we are able to move back to France before i have to apply for naturalization.... I will NEVER want that citizenship ! I am fine with being French (and also Italian)so if he doesn't want to follow us he will stay there without us (me and the kids).

Sorry i had to get it all out ! No offense....

How were you in the US for three years, but had to leave now?

Rosetta Stone can teach him French quickly. Move him there now, or move to another country within the UE where English is more prevalent. Why complain?

I lived in the US because i was a student there at first and then i stayed and lived with my fiance. I left because i had to go visit and since i was tired of using the VWP and was done with my F1 we had no other choice than the K1 so now im waiting(if i had known the pain in the butt it was we would have gotten married before, even without being ready). Wasted time of our lives, our son (17months) barely knows any english and just speaks French except for a couple words in english (i won't talk to him in english because i don't want him to speak with an accent, but with a perfect american accent like his dad)

Move somewhere else than France? Please let me know how? How can he move in Europe without a job, how can he look for a job from the US, especially not being a citizen of any of the Shengen area (even though we could marry and the process would be much easier). I have no family anywhere but in France. Would you move to a different European country even though you know the language without a job or a place to live, especially with a family? We have to be realistic here, the US is the only way for a few years, im not happy about it but as i said before i'm sacrificing. I used to love the US until i had to deal with immigration stuff, this feeling i have of being "unwanted" (honestly this is how the whole procedure makes me feel like, it is meant to depress you from ever wanting to immigrate there). Maybe i'll feel better once it is all over...

Please understand me, my son has been growing away from his dad for the past 4 months and now that i am so close to be processed and was hoping to be there for thanksgiving, now CSC is being slow and it becomes optimistic to hope spending christmas together ! I cannot even say i am going to find a job in france while waiting, no one would want to hire me for such a short period and no nanny or daycare would take my son. I'm just spending my days emptying a pack of cigarettes a day, bitting my nails and pulling my hair. I am an emotional person and this whole "journey" affects me a lot more than the average citizen (maybe i am wrong)

This has nothing to do with being French or anything. It is a personal thing, everyone around me knows i am overemotional so i am probably weaker that most people in this situation, this is nothing to brag about unfortunately. I read many people here and i am not a quarter as positive as most of them.... I am seeing this "journey" ( i put it in brackets because i don't consider this like a journey but more a nightmare) as a moment in our lives that is wasted, life is so short dammit....

loladolly, I am not trying to upset you in any way but just consider that everyone here is going through the same waiting process that you are. Some of us have even been waiting longer for their k-1s than you have so far, in fact many of us. Although being apart is an unfair and unwanted part of this process I can promise you it makes it about a million times harder to get through it if you constantly let yourself fall into a negative mindset. All you can do for now is forget you even filed for your visa for about three or four more months. No VJ, no timelines, no USCIS checking. It'll go a lot faster if you don't check every day and depress yourself. And on a positive note once it's over you will forget about it. This is such a tiny piece of time your trading for your happily ever after. It's doable, just keep your chin up.

Good luck. :)
