So I got my NOA's for my I-485, I-131 and I-765.. I even got the biometric appointment letter on the same time.. thanks god!!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to track my case status.. I wonder why it says unavailable? :(

Anyway what are the requirements for the biometric appointment? It says bring I-797c (biometric appointment letter) and valid I.d.. could you guys tell me how many I'd I should bring?

I am scheduled on November 20..

Congratulations!

It is pretty straightforward, just follow the simple instructions on the ACS appointment letter. Take your valid passport (with attached Form I-94) and the appointment letter.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

As the letter states, bring your appointment letter and a valid id. If your id is with your maiden name while your letter is with your new married name, take your marriage certificate with you! That's a mistake I did, I only took my passport with me (I had no id with my married name/name on the letter).

The online update system is unreliable, because sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Wait a few days, and see if it works. If no, well, no luck... But the fact that you have your NOAs means that they have all your applications, so no worries.

Good luck!!! you need to take a valid ID. In my case I brought my passport. Even when I filed my AoS with my new name, they accepted my passport which has my maiden name. They never asked for my marriage certificate. But take it with you, just in case.

And don't worry about your case status. USCIS website is not the most reliable source of information regarding update cases. We filed almost 4 month ago and it's still in acceptance. I recieved my EAD/AP a month ago. Im only waiting for my GC.

Lucky you!! The USCIS person who let people entered the building refused me because she wanted to see my marriage certificate! Funny things is that when I came back later and showed it to her, she barely looked at it, and nobody inside the building wanted to see it. You confirm me that it just depends on the person. But anyway, to the OP, take it with you just in case. I wouldn't want you to be as pi**** as I was. :P

Thanks guys.. yes I will bring my marriage certificate w me.. I am also planning to apply for driver's license soon.. I wasn't able to apply last month cuz dmv here is asking for my I-797 of AOS..

Could you also give me how long does it takes for the biometric? Are they going to interview me too? Apparently my husband need to take an off on that day.. ugh!!

It's very quick, less than an hour. No interview, they just want your fingerprints and picture mostly, no big deal so don't worry. :)

Know your weight and height in pounds and feet/inches if you don't know them yet also.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
