They have approved us though we dont have letter of intents, no pics together, my visa photo on bond paper and some other mistakes on hubby's (fiance before) bio info.. GEEEEZZZZ.. idk how did this happen.. im really expecting RFE why hubby flew here suddenly and just got married on oct 9th... lol..

anyway, to those VSC filers who have been impatiently waiting, we are MAY filer... :P VSC is moving forward cheers !!!!

Post Decision Activity

On October 25, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

03/09/2012 Sent first I-129F while deployed at Korea.. He only sent the form so we have to send it again.. lol

04/24/2012 Send second I-129F

05/01/2012 USCIS acceptance date routed to VSC

05/12/2012 NOA1

10/25/2012 NOA2

CR1 JOURNEY

09/26/2012 3rd visit

10/09/2012 Wedding

10/20/2012 I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox via UPS

10/22/2012 Filing Date

Congrats!! Shame that you have to cancel it all because you're married but good to show that even without all that info people CAN be approved.

Yep it's void. They have to cancel it and start from the start now with a CR-1 application.

There was a reason for it (think there's a thread somewhere) but yeah it voids the K1 so this NOA2 doesn't really matter anyway.

Actually there's nothing wrong. You made assumptions about what they did but the assumptions are incorrect. they didn't send a spousal petition. While waiting for the fiancee petition to be approved they got married. This will invalidate the fiancee petition. They need to cancel it and file spousal petition.

It adds time to the process but shouldn't pose any other problems as long as the fiancee visa petition gets cancelled.

Sorry but I still don't get it :unsure: does this mean the approval they just received is invalid since it was for the K1?

we have talked with uscis and they said there will be no conflict.. our k1 will just be automatically terminated.. we have sent though our k1 withdrawal and also sent in our cr1 petition.. we got the noa1 (confirmation email) yesterday... in the cover letter my hubby stated that we have sent a request for withdrawal of our k1 coz we got married..

yeah.. this noa2 doesnt really matter.. i just posted this so filers from VSC would know that VSC is already approving May filers and also getting approval though we dont have letter of intents...

hubby just called uscis again.. they said we cant withdraw the petition at uscis now that its already approved and said our case will be forwarded to the consulate.. he was also told that there will be no conflict.. we wont have any prob with the CR1... :)
