How will I know when my case gets to the NVC ? Is my receipt number my case number ?

Go to this thread and read the first two post. Much information so while u are waiting on case number you can get your documents together. Congratulations

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

The OP is a K-1 filer, so they basically dont need all the hassles of the stages involved in NVC......

Call NVC and ask for your case number, be ready with your receipt number, petitioners and beneficiary name and birthdate. Receipt no. Is different from case number. As soon u have ur case number, like in Philippines and other countries they could start having ther medical exam and appointment for interview, while others they have to wait until the consulate had recieved your packet 3 checklist and tthats the time they could give you the interview date. So try reading about it. Also, You can call again NVC to follow up your documents when it left and recieved by the consulate so you'll be aware of the its whereabouts. Goodluck on your journey..

NVC is Step 5 and you'll likely reach that next March.

The times aren't that accurate, so don't count on them. Everything in #7-13 is best learned from the UK forum because it doesn't work exactly like the flowchart. Each consulate is different so learn the exact steps for London.
