Both statements are BS. Of all the women I have known, only a few have ever talked of ever being raped. I was in the military. None of my acquaintances had 'stories' about almost going into special forces. The few that did go tended not to boast. The second statement is excusable as it has little in the way of adverse consequences if people actually believe it. The first is toxic in profound ways. It demeans and diminishes women by suggesting that maybe these are just 'stories'! While everyone has probably heard of an occasional false report of rape, the actual statistics on real rape are that more true rapes go unreported by far than false reports filed! By making up BS like this and repeating it the gullible come to believe it must be true and ultimately this affects public policy and whether or not society deals effectively with the very real problem of violence directed toward women.

I will have to admit those dumb pubs don't understand rape. They need to talk to the experts--- Clinton, "pick a Kennedy", , Rep Gary Condit, I could go on and on . In fact Clinton who is the keynote speaker at the upcoming convention lost his right to practice law and was accused of sexual assault by 5 different women. Ok I do not agree all or most. I just thought it was funny there is all ways a few around that almost went SF or something. I guess in the Infantry/ft Bragg/Ft Benning type enviornment since you are around so much SF/SOG types you hear that from your basic legs a bit more.
