Girlfriend visiting US

I know you guys receive quite a few of these, but I have a question regarding my girlfriends upcoming visit to the US to see me.

We met online two years ago, (I'm 23, and she is 20) and have been in steady contact since then, talking everyday, phone, gifts, all that fancy stuff. In 14 days, she is scheduled to come to the US so we can finally meet. She will be staying for 2 months, and has the following documentation:

ESTA Confirmation, Return Ticket, Letter from her University, Proof that she has paid for next years accommodations, a bank statement to show funds (Bringing roughly $1,500), as well as a letter from myself with all the details of where she will be staying during her visit. She is incapable of lying, and has decided she can't say "I'm here visiting a friend". She simply won't allow herself to do it.

She will be arriving in Newark and is scheduled to go through there. Is there anything else we can do to better her chances of getting in? This trip has been in the making for a long time, and afterwards, I'm set to travel to the UK to spend Christmas with her and her family. I'd hate for this all to derail, and I'm incredibly nervous about it all and think about her getting denied all the time.

She may be waived through, or she could be pulled aside and questioned about this boyfriend that she's never met and is planning a 2 month visit with $1500. Which won't go too far if you don't really exist. (CBP just want to believe that she's going to return home.)

She needs to have strong ties to home, not to you. Letters about how your family can't wait to meet her, etc. (just guessing here) won't be helpful. The basic details as far as where she will be staying, etc. is ok. University enrollment is good. R/T ticket is good.

She could get shorter stay as well. No guarantee that she will be admitted for 2 months.

She should be prepared to answer questions. It isn't personal. It's their job.

Hope it all goes well!

Well, I'd hope I existed, otherwise this would be a rather pointless adventure for her, and I'm sure the Officer would frown upon the imaginary boyfriend line. The only thing she is receiving from me is a simple letter confirming addresses, phone numbers, etc. She is also bringing proof of travelers insurance, if that helps any. She more or less wants to show that she is covered while in the US (Money, and health wise) if anything were to happen. I don't know if this works in her favor or not, or if there is some sort of magical number you need to show on your bank statement.

Something I forgot to mention, is that she is -very- emotional. Prone to crying when she gets stressed. She will already be stressed from the flight, so what could be some outcomes if she just breaks down and cries if she gets called to secondary questioning? Will it look suspicious?

No one can answer that, it is all up to the IO.

Crying will probably not help as it might imply guilt over doing something wrong.

Hi Kaden !

Welcome to VisaJourney.com !

Yes, lying is a bad thing.

When asked the purpose of her trip, she should simply say, "I am here to receive advanced courtesan training from SpookyTurtle".

Yes, Spooks does give these classes, he does charge for it - and he'll be happy to put through an invoice that she can show at the POE.

This way, yer name isn't mentioned, and by the time Mr. Turtle has trained her, you'll be a verra happy man.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

It would be 90 days or nothing.

..Eh, I'm not sure what to make of that turtle comment.. but..cool? I think?

Should she be up front with the IO if she gets called for secondary inspection? Something along the lines of "I plan on being up front and honest with you, but I feel I should tell you I'm easily prone to crying when I'm stressed. I've been on a plane for 10 hours, and already stressed out as is. Its not something I can help."

We've been talking extensively today about the details of her interview, and I don't think there is any way for her -not- to cry. She's just an overly emotional girl. (Not a bad thing :P)

Honesty is the best policy.

Edit: try not to stress too much, she is coming from visa waiver country, has a return ticket and lots of proof.

I know, and I'm doing my best to not stress myself out about it, but it is proving to be next to impossible to do. The trip has been planned for over a year and to think it could all come down to how bad of a day the IO is having worries me. She is bringing a lot of evidence of ties to home, but I'm more concerned about the inevitable crying that will happen if she gets pulled to secondary. She is quite timid.

I would hazard a guess from all the posts here and my own personal knowledge and experience that she will not likely be pulled into secondary - especially with ALL her evidence.

Does you fiancee suffer from anxiety or something that she takes medication for (not trying to be rude)? If she does she could get a letter from her doctor stating that she has anxiety and is prone to crying etc.
