wooo...hoo... I got NOA1 today(07-12-2012), what's next? Just stay put and wait for appoinment date letter? If they need more documents , is this the time that they would require it? If I got the appoinment date, does it mean that I don't need to submit any more paper?

When is the Receipt Date on your NOA letter? You need that date for the list ;) They don't really look at your papers at this point and you'll get RFE at any time, usually long after Bio :)

Hello everyone, after 2 years of not filing any immigration paperwork, I'm back in the fold gathering evidence for the I-751, lifting of conditions. We plan to file by this coming Monday so we can get ever closer to the wonderful Blue USA passport.... cause living with a green Pakistan Passport just doesn't garner any respect in the Immigration World.

My husband and I will file at the end of this month at the VSC and noticed they have wait times anywhere from 4 to 11 months. Since my husband is working full time, what happens is we are not approved on time and his green card expires? Is there anything we should do to cover the gap or is anyone else running into this situation? Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

After poking around some more I was able to answer my own question! Thank You VJ!

If you file your USCIS Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) on time, the USCIS will extend your conditional resident status for up to 12 months while your Form I-751 petition is under review.

You will be mailed a letter receipt for your I-751 stating the above. Carry it and your expired Green Card as proof of your continued status as a PR. ie: Nothing Changes.

The NOA1 that you will receive will say:

"Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. During the one-year extension you are authorized employment and travel."

How long it usualyy takes for me to receive the Bio appointment letter? For CSC.

I look at the time line, the date that you guys put on your timeline , let's say the date for Biometrics, you guys mean the date you received the appointment letter or the date of appointment(the day that you have to go do Biometric)?

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully we are all going to get our ROC without any RFE. I file my 751 on 7/2/12, NOA1 date is 7/3/12(received it on the mail 7/7/12) ,received my biometrics appt for 7/24 but I had my early bio today 7/13/12. I also had an info pass today for i551 stamp on my passport.

Ash and flo - you can use the 751receipt or you can go to uscis website and make an info pass to get your passport stamp just like what I did today.

For CSC you usually get your bio app within a week on your NOA.

Yurika kindly add me on the timeline.
