07/13/09- I am so, so, so HAPPY!!! My husband is in the USA and we could not wait to marry so we went to the Justice of Peace and did it. We are planning for a big wedding in November of this year here in the US and then we will fly to Nigeria to have our wedding there for his family. Thanks to all who have given advice along the way. Praying for all those still waiting.
06/23/09- Update!!! Desmond's police report has not come in the mail yet.
Emailed the embassy and hopes that they would take the copy we have that was emailed to us. To our surprise they asked Desmond to come in with a copy of what he had and thank God they took it!! Pick up his visa next week!
06/01/09- *UPDATE* The police certificate is on the way to us in the mail. We got word on Monday that after praying, fasting, and paying A GREAT DEAL of money that the report is on the way. The Police were not very kind when they learned that Desmond had been in their country illegally. We were even told that government would not give him a report; however, Money Talks- sad put true. I think knowing some officers really helped as well. We were greatful because they told us it could take months to get; but Desmond (made friends with a few Police Officers while in Morocco) called in some costly favors and the report was mailed to him.
05/22/09- We were called by the Embassy and told that they forgot to ask for a police report form Desmond's stay in Morocco. We were upset, however more determined then ever to get what we need. After calling in some favors of friends in Morocco we are getting the report hopefully by next week. Thank God!
05/14/09- WE WERE APPROVED!!!!!!! Will be picking up Visa on 05/21/09. PRAISE GOD!!!
04/07/09- Desmond went for his appointment today to find out they had re-schdueled his appointment for May 14,2009. We were upset. So, we must wait, wait and wait some more.
04/06/09-- Desmond went for his final medical appointment today. His first visit was 03/24/09. ALL COMPLETED AND HE IS FINE!!! INTERVIEW IN THE MORINING!!!
03/23/09- Medical Appointment on 03/24/09- ALL MOST THERE!!!
Our approval was sent to the wrong consulates office but it has finally been corrected and my sweetie picked up is packages and appointment today (03/10/09) from the Lagos Embassy.

03/08/10 -BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT COMPLETE- IN AND OUT IN NO TIME.
03/09/10-TOUCHES ON OUR I-485 & EAD
07/14/10- Touch today, says we have be transfered??? Not sure what this means.
Finally- we have an interview date. We were transfered to California and then back to one of our local offices. What a long and crazy wait. |

05/14/09- Desmond's interview was GREAT! There were no problems and everything went smoothly. The gentleman that interviewed him was very impressed with the
documents we submitted and the order in which we had everything done in. He asked a few guestion and Desmond answered every question correctly. The gentleman told Desmond that he was impressed with him and told him to come back on 05/21/09 to pick up his Visa.
I was thinking that we would be having major issues after reading the recent comments about the Lagos Consulate. Thank God we did not have any problems.
I will be praying for all those still waiting.
