For the record... On March 19th they told me that VSC was processing Jan 1, 2012 cases.... sooooo what does that tell u? :/

They tell everyone something different all on the same day, I honestly don't think they even know. they just tll you something to get you to leave them alone for a few more days.

I m past 5 months and they wouldn't even do a service request

My NOA1 is dated 1/5/12 and I'm still waiting. I put in a service request and I got a notice saying that my file is under review and I should receive a decision or notice of action within 60 days. Not sure what VSC is doing, but my cousin filed 25 days after me and there is no difference in my file vs. her file and hers got approved on 6/6/12. This has been a very painful wait and hopefully we all hear something soon!

I called today-the guy wasn't mean or anything, but he certainly could care less about anything I said. To be honest it seemed like he hated his job. He basically said, call in 6 days(June 26) then we will put in a request....So all in all, calling probably has neither a positive or negative effect before the priority date.

hello everyone I have a NOA1 date of 01/23/2012 and I am nearing my 5 month mark which is on Saturday to be exact. Does anyone have any update on anything that is going on at VSC? If they are even doing anything at all. I checked my case online and I see that it was "touched"(whatever that really means)in early February but thats it. I called last week and was told they were processing January 23rd applications which gave me some hope but I am just beyond fustrated by this point. I even gave up on calling them because I feel like they arent even doing anything over there and I was just getting nowhere with them. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH this is driving me INSANE

Ughhh we're on the same page Yali. I'm going crazy waking up everyday around 3 am to check my email to see if I received my NOA2. With the VSC speed I don't think that I will get married on the date we wanted.

I'm just hoping we're on track to do our "friends and family" wedding on May 18.

Our plan is to book our venue as soon as we get the NOA2. We'll do a courthouse wedding as soon as I cross, and then the party-wedding on May 18... but I really want to nail down that date soon, and it's stressing me out! (The venue has said that if we have to push it due to complications with the visa, they'll help us out with any available date within the calendar year... but I really want May 18!)

These are government workers who pile of work never decreases no matter how hard they work, it is painfully slow for VJ members waiting for results. Share our frustrations here, support each other and maybe have a cool drink or two. As I said before this process is painfully slow and the honest participants who try to do it correctly are greatly affected by the ones who try to beat the system or involved in fraud. They appear to handle them as they come in the system, their is no triage involved to find the no brainers and move them along. I am a Dec 7, 2011 filer with a RFE response date of April 25th, 2012. I have put in a service request and got mumbo jumbo response and have send a follow up email. Monday will be sixty days since the RFE reply and according to the response, I should have a written update or decision by then but it does not look like it is going to happen. There is another email address if I get no reply to the email in 21 days.

Has anyone had sucess using the email address. If no word Monday, I will put in another service request. Should I try the Ombudsman? How does this work? And Congessman? Any suggestions welcome. And yes, I am learning patience, thank you God.

Just an FYI to all... USCIS will tell you that you're not qualified for a service request until you're outside the 30-day window directly following your expected adjudication timeframe (which is currently 5 months from date of NOA1).

I actually was about to get a decent Tier 2 CSR today when I called. He was even going to file a service request but the system will not let them push it through unless the reported date from the service center is later than your received date.

VSC is reporting 1/09 right now for the date. So when it's reporting 1/19, I can file a service request. When that will be? I do not know. It seems like VSC has been working on early January forever. But hopefully I'll hear something next week and won't need to do anything more...
