I seem to keep getting agents at the DoS who don't know what they heck they're talking about. "I'm sorry Ma'am, there is no interview date for your case yet because it's still at NVC." Ummm...yeah, it's still at NVC. They have it UNTIL an interview date is scheduled and THEN they send it to the consulate/embassy. Good Grief! :bonk: Do they train these people in the procedures AT ALL?

Oh gosh, every single time I called DOS, they kept saying the case had to be sent to Montreal before an interview date was assigned. I was like... d'oh headbonk.gif

Calling DOS for finding out an interview date is useless in my opinion. You're certainly most likely to get info from NVC first than from those folks. The way I see it is, they just serve as a back up to corroborate information that NVC already has. Nothing else nothing more B-)

I can login yesterday but today I cant, when i login the first window says . . .

The next step in the immigration process isfor the principal applicant to register an agent using form DS-3032, Choice ofAddress and Agent for Immigrant Visa Applicants, which has been sent to theprincipal applicant. Registering an agent is necessary to establish the primarypoint of contact for applicant-related correspondence. The registered agentwill receive all correspondence from the National Visa Center (NVC) related toimmigrant visa application processing fees and applicant document requirements.

And I already sent DS3032 yesterday and received auto response. it is all instructions how you process your AOS, IV, payment etc. but I cant go to the payment portal to check if AOS is already Invoice or not. what stage I am now?

well at least you had an access to the portal on yesterday which I do not since yesterday      I hope system is working on our case to generate AOS invoice and should be able to let us login soon.

@saylin: I got two emails: one email about AOS bill invoice and another email about NVC has my file and they are ready to accept DS-3032 form. I just sent DS-3032 on Monday night, should I ignore the recent email from NVC and call them to find out if they have received my DS-3032 form?

Yes, NVC sends out that DS-3032, whether you've sent them the DS-3032 email or not. You can call up NVC and ask if they've accepted your DS-3032, but as it's only been 2 days, they probably haven't gotten to your email yet. It'll most likely still be a few more days.

So I figured out the DHL tracking thingy and by just playing around with dates found that two packages were sent to Sydney after my case close date (June 1). The packages were sent on June 5 and June 11, SO I called NVC this morning and asked them when my package left NVC. Lisa (Not very nice) said that my package hasn't left and they sent me a letter with the interview date so what am I calling for! I told her that I am trying to reschedule my appointment at the Sydney consulate and they can't do that until they recieve my package. She said, oh, it will probably get sent this week or next. so helpful - NOT!!! :bonk:

Called NVC today, case number and invoice number assigned, email addresses provided to NVC, the case is still loading into their system. I need to give a different email address for my wife. They said to call back tomorrow to update the email address since the case is still loading into the system. I will wait for the case to be fully uploaded and to update the email address before I send the DS3032 email. I do not know how their system works so I want them to have the email address on file that we will be using for my wife through the process before I send the DS3032 email.

Anyways, I just started a new job and won't get my first pay stub until June 30th, so I will not be sending the AOS package until the first week of July so I can include my most recent pay advice. I need for my wife to mail me documents as well to submit the IV package so we are taking it easy and trying to do things as clean and tight as possible to avoid any potential setbacks.

Cheers

thats good news, hope I will receive an invoice tomorrow.

I am sure you will have your AOS invoice available at any time and hopefully tomorrow

Should I attach a cover letter in my AOS package? Or just include all required documents along with NVC AOS cover letter in it?

I have also got my paystubs from January till today for this year. Should I just add last 2 months paystubs?

I'd suggest trying again later. Maybe you'll get a more competent (and nicer) operator. Remember, never rely on just ONE operator's response.

Grats on your recent NOA2! kicking.gifkicking.gif

And you're asking if a case number has been assigned, so you can speed through NVC as quick as possible. If you don't mind taking your time, then don't bother calling them.

And no, you can call them once a day. They have a phone number for a reason: customer service. There is always the chance you'll get a rude operator, I did once, but just ignore them and continue your daily calling.

Keep in mind, it's currently taking around 4 weeks from NOA2 to get a case number assigned.

I agree. From my experience I must say that calling them everyday does not expedite your processing at NVC. You will only get to know something immediately when there is an update.
