To my fellow friends. I know that we are all in the same place of playing the “WAITING GAME”. I know I just started, but I just have to say this process really suck and our country is wonderful, however they need to find a better process than this!! I mean waiting time in all, is almost a year to be with your loved one and I find that just ridiculous!!!

They need to have some sort of temporary travel pass for individuals who are pending an immigrant visa. I mean, I just thought about this and I just started and I have to wait until Nov/Dec just to get an answer. Then about another two months for the rest if all goes smooth that is. We put our lives on hold and loose money, sleep and most of all time. I am not sure how people cope when they go through this process, as I find it most difficult to deal with. I am not sure how I am going to handle not seeing my husband for that long. Traveling for me is hard in all ways financially, finding someone to watch pour daughter, my dogs, my time off from work and more. I am not having a good day today .. Missin my husband and need him here with me to deal with somethings I have going on personally. The gov’t needs to hire some temps to get caught up or route these petitions to more offices. I know they don’t care that people have life’s and they was to live them. But really??

I feel your pain. I am angry alot and I tell my husband it is not because of him, but because we have to be apart. I spent many nights crying wanting to give up but my husband will not let me. Alot of the things you list I as I am sure alot are experiencing. I sleep with my bible every night. I read a particular reading from psalms for some inner strength. I wish I could say it is a breez but I would be lying. Just continue to speak with people out here. Some have some really spiritual words of kindness, encouragement and hope to help you through. I wish you well and plenty of patients. Do not let this process wear you down!

Welcome to the process. It doesn't get any better until they arrive, or you go to visit them. The thing is, marrying someone from outside the country is not considered a right. Well thats not totally correct, you do have the right to do it, you just don't have the right to bring them here. Doing so is considered a privilege. Yes we all wish the process went a whole lot faster, with a whole lot less read tape, and with a whole lot more clarity to. Its hard, but I hope you find it was worth it when you reach the other end. If you think your process is going to be hard, take a look at those from North Africa, now those people really have it hard. Good luck on a smooth and quick journey.

Much as we hate the process and sometimes them (USCIS and govt in general) you wouldnt want a temp worker to be looking at your info or processing it. Imagine the rfe's or denials they would send out because of a worker who isn't experienced. Of course there could be as much approvals but you can never know for sure which way it'll go. Be patient and ready for anything. Be prepared.

Just remember the level 1 customer service people are out sourced workers. Once you call them, you'll understand why you don't want them looking at your file.

We are 363 days between noa1 and interview.

I thought I was only one not sleeping.

Sleep 2 hours here. An hour there.

I am perpetually exhausted. Constantly worried. Re-reading forms checking for errors.

This process is inhumane.

There should be a criminal check and medical check and admission to country while paperwork completes. The current system is evil beyond belief.

I feel you, and yeah all we have to do is wait, we never know..

Ive been through lots of stress of waiting, doesnt help that my husband have to leave in Japan to Texas,he willbe Pcs on May 26.

Im 33 weeks pregnant and have limit of travel in the air... Plus we have a 3year old son..

But after all the waiting, calling them everyday and bugging them, its all worth now, got interview on the 21st already.

Patience of waiting....

Goodluck to you hope it goes well.
