My fiance got our NOA1 text this morning. I can relax for a little while now. Hes here in Sydney in 2 weeks, just for 10 days, but it will help break the waiting time.

Hello fellow May filers!! I sent mine out on May 21st and the wait for the NOA1 is killing me.. LOL. I can't imagine waiting the 5-6 months for the NOA2 or the dreaded RFE . I check this site EVERYDAY! Timelines, Igors list, what days filings are being processed, etc, etc. I just need to stay off of here for a few months because it seems like i'm watching paint dry, hahaha. Anyway, good luck everyone!

ok this is kind of depressing for me, i am seeing that you guys sent in the forms in may 2012 and got replies within like 2 weeks, my fiance sent ours into the texas center in january and we have not heard anything back, i read that we was meant to get a receipt with a case number on it but we didnt even get that. if you guys have any advise please let me know.

These questions maybe redundant, but did you send your information with a delivery confirmation or certified? has your check been cashed? You can call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283. They will ask you the same questions.

May is over...! I saw that one May filer already got NOA2. I don't think it was an expedite either. tossed in the wrong pile perhaps. I don't mind the wait, gives me time to pay off my credit card and save money.

so how is everyone keeping themselves busy and/or preparing for the move?

I'm at home. I'm 'on the bench' for work, in other words, in between assignments and have to be available at the drop of a hat to meet with clients who want me to work with them. I get paid though. so my days are spent on ebay selling stuff I won't need and browsing this site! My office has told me its most likely going to be NZ or Singapore for my next assignment. I'm not sure how I feel about that. luckily they know I'm going through this process at the moment so will work with me to bring me back when I need to - medical/interview etc. and my fiance is here next weekend! just for a week, but it will be nice all the same.

Hi everyone, I'm also a May filer! I had been worrying about not receiving our hardcopy NOA1 for the past couple of weeks when it turns out my fiance had been checking the wrong mailbox (hard to explain, doesn't matter). Anyways, it's probably been there for a while but I actually got my hands on it today and I feel so relieved! Even though it's still a long wait, it feels good to have something official so you know it's in the system.

Don't worry just yet. I put 17th May in my signature as the day we received the hardcopy because the date stamp on the envelope was the 16th and it was sent first class, so I assumed it arrived on the 17th.. plus the envelope definitely looked like it had been in the mailbox for a while haha, but it could have only just arrived a few days ago for all I know. The email you received said you'd get the hardcopy in 7-10 days standard mail, right? Has it been more than 10 days?
