As Harpa Timsah says you can visit while your petition is being adjudicated. My wife visited a couple of time while we waited for hers. I don't think there is a guideline for how much time needs to pass between entries but if it is short period of time CBP may question you. Just be sure to have copies of your petition and any notices you may have received.

Also please fill out your time line, it's really helpful to the community here and it will help others give you more educated answers to any questions you have.

You are free to visit, expect extra question and to show more proof of ties to your home country. Some say that you notice is proof that you are doing it the right way

Only the CBP officer can answer the last question as he/she is the one with the power to determine whether or not you show immigrant intent. Just be honest and precise when answering any questions. Your tourist visa is valid and you can travel on it up until the K1 is approved. When you have that visa, you can no longer use the current B2 to the US.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)
