I didn't include any affadvits, I think that best evidence is what you'd have if the person was from the US already, you know bills with both your names and all that other paperwork that says that you are forging forward with a life together as a couple in love. I think if you don't have evidence like that then probably the affidavits give you another way of providing some proof.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't know that they are required. I didn't send any with our application. Just make sure you have lots of evidence to send it and you likely won't have to have signed statements from people. We included co-mingling of finances/joint bank accounts, utility bills in both names, vacations taken together and boarding passes, titles to real property, auto insurance showing both names, beneficiary of pensions and health insurance related things, pictures of us over several years and with family and others, etc.

I think the affidavits are when other evidence may be thin.....others may have differing viewpoints ...?

Hello everyone, i hope everyone is doing great and ready for the memorial day weekend.

I just received the biometrics letter and the notice date is 05/18/2012 while the appointment is schedule for 06/15/2012.

someone can update me on the list.

** Just a quick question, after receiving this letter can they still request more eveidence beside of what i have already provided them or the final decision will just be considered from my biometrics results?

The receipt number is always on the NOA1 letter. So if you didnt receive that, i am not sure how you will have the receipt number.

i believe that they can ask for evidence up until the moment they approve your 10 year green card. Everyone filling the form has to get their biometrics taken so it's not a sign of anything else than your case is being worked on at the normal pace.

Hi, I'm filling out mine (August 19 2011 is my expiration). I've collected the following:

• I-751
  
• $590 check
  
• Green card (front and back on one page)
  
• two years of tax returns
  
• two banks' statements, two statements each (four statements)
  
• List of updated residences (we've moved since we applied)
  

Is this a sufficient packet? Also, in regards to the green card, I printed it out after scanning, and it's huge: it completely takes up one page. Is this an acceptable format? Or do I have to make it look like original card size?

I appreciate all your help! I'm hoping to send this out via certified mail with delivery confirmation to the Vermont center tomorrow.

Got my Biometrics appointment in the mail today. The notice date is 5/18/12 and I've been scheduled for 6/6/12! I updated the google document.

About the affidavits, the way it was worded in the instruction page, it sounded like it would be nice to just send those in. I submitted 2: one from a friend I have here in the US from the last 7 years and the other from my husband's coworker who hangs out with both of us socially. I honestly think it has to mean something and I guess it also depends on what things they mention in the letters. Ours were kind of specific when it came to what kinds of activities we did together.

Anyway, that's it! Oh and I checked the online thing it does work now with the receipt number from the biometrics NOA.

Unfortunately you won't be able to check status online with the receipt number on NOA1.

You need the case number on the biometrics appt notice.

Have you tried calling USCIS and asking to speak to a tier 2 person?

A couple people in April filers never got their NOA1. I know at least one of them did get their bio appt notice though.

I have seen it take 2-3 weeks for others to get NOA1 eventhough the date on the NOA is 2-3 days after the package was delivered.

So I hope you get yours soon!
