So I finally got through and was told the second week of the month bla bla bla

So I told the person who answered that I knew that wasn't so cause I knew people who got their interview date last week. She then admittided that it wasn't exactly how the interviews are set but she did say that during the second week of the month they updated the embassies available time slots for the upcoming month and start to book them. So in april they will book interviews for may. Some embassies might have more open time slots one month because they might have fewer fiancee visa interviews and they will then release more slots to the nvc during the month and not just the second week...

At least I got some kind of explanation, if it's true or not I don't know.. Has anyone else been givven this explanation?

Wow, 25 pages in already and there has only been one business day in April so far!

NVC received our IV packets today. Hoping for CC in the next day or two.

Does every Embassy/Consulate website post interview schedules? I saw a link to an interview schedule for India in the March thread but can't find it when I look on the Santiago, Chile Embassy website.

Keep in mind, it might have only been one business day for this thread, but it was created on Saturday.

And no, not every country has an interview schedule put up.

Don't worry it doesn't apply to typical case. NVC gave Checklist for not having PCC from passport office. My situation is that it does not apply to my beneficiary since the beneficiary is a non-indian, residing in India, so the beneficiary does not have Indian Passport, only "Identity card" so therefore only PCC given is by Local district Police Station to the beneficiary. So we emailed NVC with explanation and they are still reviewing it.

Read here: http://travel.state....L-0001-1112.pdf

"Non-Indian immigrant visa applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the district police station serving their area of residence."

The frustrating :( part is that this Checklist should not have come up because if the reviewer actually paid attention, they would have realized this, We even put a special note on the local PCC. Now looks like this unnecessary checklist will cost us extra 2 weeks of delay. :crying:

That's so dumb. But don't blame the officer completely. Not all of them are trained for every specific foreign country's requirements.

Thanks!

One YEAR???!!! That's crazy...headbonk.gif

[...]

Looks like you figured out that multiquote :D

And yeah, one year. Insane, isn't it? That's what I kept reminding myself. I also thought of how just a few years ago, this process was about double as long. So honestly, you should be nothing but grateful about this process now. Sure, improvements can be made, but you should definitely be grateful.

I finally got my case number, IIN and BIN. Going to send of the choice of agent email now. Finally something is happening now.

Well, kelad just got their number and their NOA2 date is a week before yours. You should be getting yours either this week or early next week yes.gif

It's been taking currently around 3 weeks.

So I finally got through and was told the second week of the month bla bla bla

So I told the person who answered that I knew that wasn't so cause I knew people who got their interview date last week. It definitely seems reasonable. When I was watching people for Canada get CCs and interview dates scheduled when I was at NVC, people who had gotten March CCs were getting interviews for April. Then around the fourth week of March (when I found out my date), they were scheduling for the last week of April/first week of May, so it carried over into the next month.

Well, I got my CC end of January, interview scheduled on Jan 30, and my interview was the last week of March... It's not very clear.

Maybe it all depends on the how busy the US Embassy usually are.

Big immigrant countries like India, China, Philippines gets interview next month or early days of the 2nd month.

I hope i can get CC this week and get early May interview Slot or maybe even late April? I don't think so but i can dream, right? :P

Well, my point was that they might start assigning interview dates (in order of CC for each country) in the second week for the next month, and continue assigning them, even if it leaks over into another month. It will of course differ by country, by visa, by current backlogs when exactly you'd get the date scheduled and when the date will actually be.

It took me about 11 working days, they received it on the 19th and they took it out of the mailing room by the 21st, I notice when they took it out of the mailing room I started to get that date from the operators, so if you notice a change of date then you know they are working on it

Remember, the DS-260 is only available after the IV bill appears as PAID, so right now, aim for the IV to be invoiced :P
