Yeah, I know that. They are probably sent automatic every few months!?

It´s just we´ve been waiting for way to long (as many others) and it´s time for an approval. And then you get random emails reminding you to fill out a timeline you wish you could fill out... I was just in a pretty bad mood this morning ;)

I have a question about this timeline thing:

As much as I would like to update the VJ timeline (and I did try) there is just no way to update is as it is not made compatible to the Diversity lottery visa, which is my case.

So do you guys want me to make up things on timeline, or would you mind getting a diversity lottery visa option for us who are not doing family/work based immigration process?

Thanks

May 1, and July 15 2011: Lucky winner of Diversity Lottery

Case no: 2012EU00026XXX

Interview: April 6: passed

Visa in passport: April 12.

POE: Chicago, May 31.

It's all good.

Thanks, and while you're at it I believe that Diversity lottery visa guide needs updating as well:

1. applicants no longer receive a winning mail to their address, but rather have to log in using the confirmation code they hopefully saved after applying to the visa lottery, and see if they are selected or not selected. Other changes in case progress is also visible by logging in with one's confirmation code.

2. as of 2.2.2012 the diversity lottery visa issuance fee is reduced from $819 to $440 per person.

3. 2012 results are up as well.

I can understand the email - look at Igors list - even for IR1/CR1 filers - are you really telling me that all those people from march through June have not received any NOA2 or RFE or anything?

I can understand July onwards - I'll give you June if you really want to push it - but seriously... people do need to be reminded to not only complete and attach a timeline (lots of people have joined and dont even have a timeline showing) - i saw a post recently that the timeline should be made mandatory - i fully agree with it.

FWIW my NOA1 is Aug 3 2011 - F2a yes - but still waiting also like the OP

Our email was definately aimed at reminding folks with new info to update their timelines and remove those gaps you mentioned. Hopefully we had a lot of good info added in the last few days!
