Question for all CSC transferees

Hello

Well, I've been trying to get an answer to this question with limited success on the boards so far. So here's my final attempt:

Do you have to have originally entered on a K visa to have your case transferred to CSC?

(I am on an H1-B, have applied for AOS and am wondering if a CSC transfer may be in the cards for me.)

A very good question. I will start I applied for a K-1 Fiancee Visa for my wife. Let hope we get a lot of feed back from other VJ members.

As far as I know it has only been K-1's that have been transfered to CSC but I may be mistaken ...

What I can tell you is that I was transfered to CSC and I entered the US on a K-1 visa ...

It will be really nice to know if there really is criteria USCIS uses to select cases for transfer to CSC. May be there isn't. May be it just a judgement call of the case worker.

If it is true that only K-1 to AOS cases get transferred to CSC, I wonder why not K-3 to AOS cases.

I did notice that many, if not majority, of cases are of beneficiaries from Canada.

I entered on a K-1 from UK and was tranfered to CSC.

My 2 children entered on K-2's and were also tranfered to CSC

I have also been wondering why K1 and K3s get transferred (at least I have not seen any recently). It is not really transparent what the USCIS does.
