Ouch! 24 days after NOA2?? So I guess I get mine probably on mid of August . And that still not including days they checking our case before they send out to US embassy?

Yes, ouch is right. I was expecting 10 days or so. It's a rush now to get her here by my best friends wedding, not sure it's going to happen. But she will be here soon and thats all that matters...

I have been trying to stay off of VJ for a while because I was approaching my 5 month mark, which is today actually, but still no approval

Any tips how to proceed after 5 months?

Hey guys ...NOA2...my fiance just told me our status shows post decision activity on the site n was approved on the 13th.. No email or text... Finally dis stage is over... :D

There is nothing you can do, but wait till it hits 6 months. They consider 5 months + 31 days (the end of July is 31) as within normal processing time. If you want to call them before 6 months, you will more likely be told to wait.

Example: if your priority date is Feb 10, then until it reach August 11, that is 6 months. So before August 11 your petition is still in normal processing time.

yes as people have mentioned before, contacting anyone after you hit 5 months is useless... they will tell you to wait additional 30 days... senators/congress people won't help much either until you pass 6 months mark and then they can try and have your petition expedited... Service request, if you manage to get one, is useless too as they will tell you that they will reply within 15 days... yes they will, they will send you a letter within those 15 days stating that you can expect your case to be looked at within the next 90 days from the date you put in a service request... all those things are there for us so we feel we can actually do sth and feel better but the truth is, your petition will be looked at when it is looked at... My theory is, that if you are approved after having done anything I mentioned above, you were just purely lucky and your petition was simply with the adjudicator already… I apologies if I sound pessimistic but just don’t want you guys to keep your hopes up, I had them high up in the sky and every response we are getting after contacting USCIS, congress people etc is just letting me down big time and making me feel worse… so on Friday when we hit 6 months, we do the last one thing and ask for our case being expedited by the senator… if that doesn’t help , we will just have to accept the fact that the wait will be over when USCIS decides!

Definitely one of my worst fears right now as well~ If it's possible, pass on our (me and Eun Hee's) condolences as well and let her know that she is not alone.

If I get a chance, I will pass along condolences... I'm not sure that I will ever be able to get in touch with this lady though, Tom isn't even sure what her name is (he and his coworker weren't very close)
