That's a good idea. I have too much work to do. Unlike some place, I actually want to complete me work. :angry:

Agreed, right now it's just really really depressing. I like to be positive and optimistic, but right now it's not easy..... No action at all since the 22. What's up with that? :angry:

*sob* Right there with you all! Tried starting the week all optimistic but that approach didn't work - I'll go back to being jaded and bitter and see if that helps. I used to love watching 'The Proposal' before this but now not even Ryan Reynolds in the buff can outweigh the ridiculousness of their speed of visa approval - what, like the next day? Hmph.

Where did you get this information, and why would this affect only VSC and only this year? I'd love to get some of my optimism back but I'm skeptical.

The (Vermont) 129F was averaging 185 days about 14-15 months ago, according to VJ.

At least I'm distracted with moving. I found the PERFECT place for us in Brooklyn, cross fingers we get accepted. It's so nice to see what our future home might look like, and fun to send him photos and get his opinion. Stick it to the man (USCIS)... 'cause my life is still moving on now matter how SLOW/STOPPED ya'll are. He can still come here until his interview if that's the only option.

This is what I got to come home to after being out looking at apartments. Now don't that just cheer you right on up? luv.gif

Fingers crossed for you, Mary! I just found a place myself and signed the lease the other day. It's a house not too far from the one I live in, and given that I currently live directly behind train tracks as well, I am very excited that this new house is on a nice, quiet street. Bring on the packing!

And friends, I know we're all sad about the NOA2 business, but they can't not process applications forever. I have a good feeling about seeing some approvals from both service centers tomorrow. Yeah, that's me mustering up the optimism :)

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to ask, does anybody here know about this '4-month expiry' of the I-129f petition approval? I went and checked my case status for the first time yesterday and noticed something saying 'expiry', 30th June 2012. Has anyone here had to request an extension, or is it automatically sorted out when they take longer than that to process?

Are you talking about the thing at the bottom of the page when you're looking up the receipt (under the control number) on the USCIS website? It doesn't mean anything for us. Mine says the same thing. It'll probably change to another date when July 1st rolls around.

The Ukraine consulate allows 1 year from when they send papers to fiancee. I think most also extend it automitically.

I agree with CoriAndRob...I think it's something related to their website or something like that, probably they will upgrade or change the case status checking software on their website...it's not only for I-129Fs, you can type any random number you want, and you can see that date at the bottom ;)

Our story: K1 -> AOS -> ROC -> Naturalization (2012 - current)

He can still come here until his interview if that's the only option.

After this I'm REALLY leaving, I promise! Just poked my head in, only to be hit with a really major case of "I have it SO MUCH HARDER than you" which is ample proof that I should stay gone. Mary, I'm glad you find the idea that he can just come here and hang out until the interview comforting, but a lot of us would be thrilled out of our minds to have that option, vs. having loved ones who have no way of ever setting foot in the US at all anytime ever without this fricking fiance visa.

Be well, everyone. I'll be back at some point.
