Any February 2012 filers?

Yanno, I feel like as hard as the wait is, let's look at it this way- we're closer to the next step than we were in February. Imagine if you were a June filer and you were just starting the process. Sure, it's frustrating, it's not fair, and it hasn't gotten easier, but we're all within a month or two (based on averages) of moving onto the next step. And I, for one, am happy to see some of the February people getting their approvals. Even the sourest grapes will be super happy sooner or later. I'm rooting for all of us.

Thank god you said something, LETS LOOK AT THE FACTS FOR TODAY And THIS WEEK

VSC approved 9 Petitions this week ON THIS FORUM not all of USCIS!!! someone said on these FORUMS it is only 5% of the actual number being approved so if my calculations are correct that is well over 180 petitions getting approved this week!!! Pretty sure they must be pumping out over 250! ( My educated guess thats all about the 250)

CSC approved approved 20 petitions this week ON THIS FORUM not all of USCIS!!! and that is over 400 getting approved this week!

So please dont start with the your petitions will be done in september just because you didn't have good luck on the draw doesn't mean you should stick your problems and scare us and say go wait till Sept!!

**RANT OVER**

ANYWAYS I love you TRUE FEBRUARY People **E-HUG** LOLOLOL HAHAH

I was only hoping to save some people the heartache with a dose of realism. I was very idealistic going into this. And it's good to keep the faith. Just always remember that what you hope will happen and what actually happens are 2 very separate things. And you have nothing to worry about at CSC. Approvals seem steady and consistent there right now. Until Vermont pulls its act together, it is impossible to say what we're all going to be looking at in terms of adjudication times. If the average VSC approval time is going to be around 160-170 days, it's just good to be prepared. I sincerely hope they can finish a substantial number of January petitions in the next 2 weeks. Problem solved. But I've learned not to count on anything with this process now. And for January it has not been about good luck on the draw. It has been a significant number of petitions with no activity. They've idled for months. And that is why we're all a bit confused. However, I do think this upcoming week will be better. It has to be. So hopefully this is the week that VSC pulls itself together and both CSC and VSC petitions get the attention necessary to move all of us forward toward reuniting with our loved ones. I'm rooting for all of us.

Woohoo to more approvals! Slow but steady...

OKay - let's take a break from all of this waiting and whining and boohooing -

First date?

We met in Canada - I picked him up at the airport (swoon) and he offered to buy me dinner on the way to the hotel. So sweet. Of course after his 10 hour flight he was starving so we had our first meal together at McDonald's. It was lovely. Ignoring the fact that the curb jumped out and hit the front end of the car as I parked, we oohed and ahhed over each other, he tried to contain his shock at the portion sizes, I tried to make sure I didn't have anything stuck in my teeth. The date was capped off when we realized there was a ginormous puddle of puke on the floor about 2 tables over. We could not have planned a better ending. Hard to believe that was 2 years ago.

Anyone else want to play?

Congrats to all of us, specially Nick&Ann and actob99  finally our journeys are coming to an end

Although this past few days, some aliens invaded our lovely forum and attacked us with their most harmful weapons, negativity, yet we managed to survive with our hope and love, as we have done in the past 5 months or so. We should stay together and keep the love between us, our time has come :D(L) (L) (L)

One question though:

Seeing that some of the petitioners are getting their NOA2 only via text (without their status changing in the website), I am getting a little bit worried :( I have never received NOA1 via text, my carrier is really cheap and stupid and I don't think it supports these kind of texts (from agencies, companies, ...). Now, I am worried that what would happen if I never get the text? I assume that still I would get the official NOA2 in the mail, right? :(

Heya Everyone,

Wanted to pop in and say hi and get caught up :) Congrats to everyone who's gotten their NOA2 and huge grats to Joy for graduating

Since we got the notice that our whole visa process is on hold while we wait for custody stuff, I needed a little break from everything. I've also gotten crazy busy at work and had a friend visiting. At least prepping statements and getting information and police certificates on me ready for the custody hearing has kept my brain off the visa wait heh. I kinda got down about everything for a bit but met with my two best friends last night and they dragged me back to the world of wedding planning so I've gotten the kick in the butt to go dress shopping and to do more planning!

Kim, I'll play your game :) Our first date was a family date and really is our first 2 days together since he brought the boys over. Dec 26 2010 - A blizzard moves into MA. We got 2+ feet of snow starting just before they took off and stopping just before they landed. (Here's the cancellations board at Logan for that day). I got up, couldn't dig out my car and my street wasn't plowed so there was no way out to go pick up the rental or make it to Boston. I was crying in the snow when a front end loader came up the street. My neighbor's nephew who worked for the city was here to rescue us. He couldn't understand why I kept thanking him and giving him hugs LOL. Two hours later I was dug out. I got the rental and headed to Boston, dumped the car at the hotel and arrived at Logan with about 10 min to spare. They came through the doors and I got tackled by the kids before I could even consider giving Alan a hug and kiss :) Since they got in really late, we just headed back to the hotel. We had a dinner and movie package with the suite so we opted for in room pizza, soda and Disney channel all night. The kids crashed super early and woke up at 3am. Since I was up, I hung out and let Alan sleep. We slept in shifts till about 8:30am, trying to get the kids back to sleep or be quiet when they were up. Everyone was a little sleepy the next day, but we headed out into the waist deep snow and went to see Fenway Park and the Children's museum. Our first meal out of the hotel was also McDonalds (at the South Station train platforms). The boys wanted to die that day. They'd never seen so much snow or been so cold in their lives lol. I'm surprised they came back after I tried to freeze them to death hehe.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
~~Albert Schweitzer
