I filed on 08/05/2011, received approval email today.

Good luck to all!

question, though my case is handled by my attorney, what is my next step? Something like electronic step?

thanks,

CSC, btw.

I called them in the beginning of Jan to complain, but didn't write letters to my congressmen.

If you'd like to do NVC Electronic Processing, you'll need to make sure that yer attorney is trained up to do NVC Electronic Processing,

or

ask yer attorney to step aside whilst YOU do NVC Electronic Processing.

NVC Electronic Processing is optional for GUZ IV, but using it shaves off 3 to 6 months of wait time.

So, get back with yer attorney, inquire specifically - 'Do you know how to handle NVC Electronic Processing for document intake, for a casefile headed to GUZ IV, or no?'

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

not to question your information - but what are you basing your info on to say that it reduces the NVC processing time by 3 to 6 months?

and what is "GUZ IV"?

thanks in advance

Darnell was not talking about NVC processing time, he was talking about wait time from case complete at the NVC to the time an interview is scheduled when a paper file is sent from the NVC to the Consulate in Guagnzhou.

and what is "GUZ IV"?

I not say 'NVC processing time' at all.

I said ' 3 to 6 months of wait time' .

My apologies for not being clear -so - here's the explanation.

Casefiles headed to GUZ IV, prior to EP inclusion, and CURRENTLY with 'paper files' not using EP -

suffer

from a 2 to 5 month lag time, between 'casefile arrive in China' and 'GUZ IV open the casefile'

due to

Treaty arrangements with China.

These paper casefiles are held in a China Bonded Customs Warehouse, per treaty between USA and China.

So, that's 2 to 5 months of 'wait time'. The other bit of wait time is with GUZ IV itself, as ONCE it receives the casefile, has the casefile physically inside the IV unit -

The applicant still needs to be put on the scheduling calendar - and that adds 2 weeks to 6 weeks more of wait time.

Most other countries? NVC schedules the appointment once final review is complete, using the calendar at that countries IV unit.
