Okay, so the latest is that my husband called NVC and was told that they received our case on 03/02/2012. They're asking him to call in 20 days to get the case number!!! blink.gifblink.gifblink.gif

Give it 3 business days and start calling in daily basis. Took mine 9 days to assign a # -DO NOT trust the AVR for an update-. As soon a they ask your husband for his email and yours, means that a # has been assigned (he should ask for NVC case # and IIN#). Meanwhile, get your papers and your husband's ready, because after the break point of case # assignment it'll be a roller-coaster and things will go FAST (if you're used to the USCIS pace). Good luck :)

@ Saylin

I just called NVC and got my NVC Case Number and IIN! Yaaay! I have also everything ready to go (I-864 packet and DS-3032 packet); however, I was told I could not just yet email the DS-3032 until my beneficiary receive an email from NVC requesting it.

I have learned through this site though that you can tecnically email the DS-3032 from the beneficiary's email as soon as you get your case number.

So do we do? Should we wait like the operator said? or can we email DS-3032?

Citizenship

Grats on getting the case number assigned! kicking.gif

Don't listen to the operator :P Half the time, they have no idea what they're talking about.

Email the DS-3032. There's a chance it might get rejected, but there's also the chance it might get accepted.

And please, join the March thread. The first two posts will answer a lot of questions :)

You're missing the copy of the bio-data page of the beneficiary's passport. And you only need to submit two passport pictures, not four. And don't forget to include the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal. This has to be the first page in the package.

As for the birth and marriage certificates, you HAVE to send in either the originals or certified copies. You ALSO have to include photocopies of these so your originals/certified copies can be returned at the interview. If you only send photocopies, you will receive a checklist.

Yes I have the bio-data page of his passport also.

Ok, I'll send 2 passport photos

Bar-coded I have that too

Birth certificate I have Original certified + copy

I have Marriage certificate Original certified + copy (Must I send in our Nikah and translation?) OR will the Original certified Marriage certificate be enough?

According to Pakistan's reciprocity table at NVC's site, it seems that yes, you have to include the Nikah.
