Back in May our case was transferred to CSC for a speedy process as Cincinnati was backed up for months so it seemed our case was going to go without an interview. One month ago we received a letter finally stating that our case was in Cincinnati and our interview date was Jan. 17, 2012 at 8:30 a.m.

Thank God for Visa Journey, as it prepared us for anything (like a stokes interview which we had).

I was called back and was interviewed by a very nice lady. Here were my questions:

1. When did I meet my fiance at the time, (date and year)

2. When did I first travel to Morocco

3. How often did I visit him

4. Tell me how many sisters he has and there names and where they live ( OMG I had to stop and think as they live in Qatar and Dubai) and how many brothers and where he lives now.

5. Asked about his mom and dad

6. Asked about whether or not my husband is a practicing muslim

7. How many times a week does he goes to the Mosque

8. Asked if he prayed at home if not at the mosque

9. What kind of relationship does he have with my daughter and what they like to do

10. Looking for work or is still looking since EAD

11. If I knew about a certain girl that he once chatted with online years ago. (OMG they know so much about our personal lives online before we even knew each other). This is why they look for honesty in couples and if they know each other she said and why we have to ask these personal things to find out the the immigrate is just focused on getting a green card and then divorcing the US citizen down the road.

12. Has he ever tried to convince you to convert to Islam? Nope I said

13. What is your faith and do you go to a church and does he go with you? Of course he does not go to church LOL as he attends a Mosque I said, and she agreed with this answer.

14. Did you marry in a church by a leader/minister? Nope I said, in a mosque by an Imam (which made her believe he was a practicing muslim) and she smiled.

15. So if not in a church then where? I said the mosque he attends every Friday.

16. She asked for proof of marriage, showed her our land contract together, car insurance in both names on both vehicles, three joint bank accounts.

17. Do I believe he married me for a Visa.

18. Did I marry him for immigration purposes only

19. Does age difference play a role in your relationship and if so how?

After my interview, she asked for my passport and drivers license and gave me a form that spoke about rules and prison, and fines etc., and she said do not sign until I return back into the room. Once she returned, she said you may sign and I will witness and sign as well.

Now for my husbands interview what he can remember LOL

1. Your name

2. date of birth

3. When and where we met

4. Asked about if I had any children and do you get along good with your step daughter.

5. Asked about where we lived

6. Describe the condo outsite

7. The color of the door inside LOL

8. Asked him re: the girl he use to talk with online

9. Which car do you like to drive the best

10. Do you drive

11. What kind of cars you have and do you have your own car

12. Are you a practicing muslim

13. how often do you go to the mosque

14. do you pray at home

15. did you receive a prayer rug for christmas from your step daughter

16. do you take your step daughter to school at all and pick her up

17. Are you trying to find work

18. are you marrying your wife just for immigration purposes and does her age difference bother you....

19. does your mother like her

20. how often to you call home to speak with your family and mom

21. where does your brother live and have any members of your family visited you since your arrival

22. how do you communicate with your family in morocco? skype, yahoo, phone etc. ( he told her I speak with my mom every saturday via phone/calling card)

So that was it .......

She then called me back into the office with hubby and then took his I-94 from passport but she didn't take his EAD card which I thought maybe she would. She then went on explaining what will happen in regards to Removal of Conditions and that we had to file within 90 days.

Our letter she gave us was checked: A decision cannot be made about your application/petition today as I have to go through the file once again, and if I need anything from you, you will receive a RFE in the mail. Then she wrote again about I-751 must be filed 90 days the LPR (green) card expires and N-400 may be filed 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of LPR green card.

She asked if we had any additional questions and thanked us both for coming.

Also, from the very beginning of filing our K1 up until AOS interview today, I have still been working part time and using my child support as additional income. She did not take a new I-864 with new job from last 7 months as she said your income meets the guidelines and I do not need any further evidence from you nor your assets that you provided.

So does our interview sound as if we may have been approved? It's hard to tell.

Thanks VJ for all your important facts and information here the last few years, it's been a pure blessing to have this site to help us on our journey.. bless you all

I'd say wait a week, then check the USCIS web portal status thingie,

and THEN, after that,

call in to USCIS, ask for casefile status

and then...

start to second guess everything.

Don't do that, today. Wait a week.

Did you or he get any of the questions wrong?

Nope we both answered all questions correctly. It's weird as she didn't ask hardly any thing about me he said, just those I posted. She asked me a lot about him and of course I knew all about him and his family as I had met them over a course of a year or so many times.

So IDK, I guess we shall wait and see.

I mean would she have explained to him personally about ROC and if he didn't want to become a USC he didn't have too and he could just wait 10 or 15 years or more and he could just remain a permanent resident. I felt she didn't have to say any of this if we were gonna be denied ya know.

Oh well,,,,, we shall wait patiently as we have thru this whole process.

Well lets see, we filed in April 2010 and after 6 months of no response except being transferred to CSC, I called USCIS and spoke with someone and they said that Cincinnati was still processing paperwork from Nov of 2010 and our file would be delayed. So that is how we got the info we did.

Anyway, glad to hear your process went well and hopefully we shall hear some good news soon.

Thanks

Oh thanks Darnell, yes I shall wait and be patient as this process is long and stressful as times. I really felt the interview went well and after she spoke with mohammed about ROC and becoming a citizen or just staying a permanent resident sorta gave me hopes that all went well.

Thank you again for you help in this process as I know you answered many personal questions for me.

BIG THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

It sounds like it went well all things considered. Let us know when you hear something :)

Oh thank you, i think it went smoothly too considering we had a stokes interview. One couple didn't have such good luck, as the couple left upset as the US girl just stormed out of the room leaving her husband behindblink.gif

Why do you think you had a stokes interview? They are uncommon correct? Hopefully all will go well for you. Can you detail what you sent in with your package, how long you've been married and your timeline. It's difficult to tell anything without this backgound info - previous marriages, length of relationship, previous filings, age and race differences....

I would not panic but there is always a reason for a stokes interview IMO....

Currently on valid H1B expiring Feb 2012... Cutting it CLOSE with EAD card expected 01.18-24.12...

Well assuming that it was a stokes interview according to what I have read here means the couple are separated while being interviewed. Actually, maybe it's just Cincinnati, as other couples were interviewed separate as well (who really knows) anyway.

As far as my background, it's all on my timeline from the very beginning up until now if you want to read it. Yeah there were red flags for Morocco but that is why he was approved his visa as we both established a bona fide relationship during the last few years. I didn't jump the gun and just go and marry the first time, I didn't go goo goo gaa gaa over him when we first met nor did I make any promises until we met many more times. I am a grown adult and think things out properly and mature. Our race is obviously not a problem as you can see our picture together here online. Our interview was very professional and we both left holding hands and more in love than ever. heart.gif

No panic here....
