I wish you had more information. I hope you will fill out your timeline so people can answer you best.

Are you both in USA?

How did the foreigner get there?

If you are in another country and you filled out the CR-1 then the american will pay the fees online and send in the documents.

I do not want to answer questions until I know what your position is. Or I might give wrong information.

Please fill out your timeline.

Thank you and good luck

You still need to try and put the Banglesdesh into your timeline

that is the only way your question will be seen on that countries portal site.

edit your timeline thru your profile

make sure the country is chosen in 2 places

1. beneficiaries country

2. embassy

I do not know anything about family visas for parents. I am sorry. I hope someone can help you. But your chances are better if you post in the correct area of bagledesh

I have edited Shakil Yeasin's membership profile to add the Beneficiary's country as Bangladesh. It is that information that determines the portal entry, not the timeline, :)

whovere is petitioning for your mom has to pay the affidavit of support bill also that is $88. then you need :

your mother's birth certififcate ( original and photocopy)

two colored passport photos of your mother( write her name and case number lightly on the back)

copy of your mothers international passport( biographic page)

the petitioner's proof of US citizenship(photocopy)

the petititioner's birth certificate( originial and photocopy)

your mothers police report from the places where she has lived since she was 16years old( original and photocopy)

your mother's marriage certificate or if she is a widow; death certificate or if a divorcee, divorce certificate( original and copy)

the Ds 230 part 1 and 2 ( but you rmom need sto sign ONLY part 1, the second aprt will be signed during her interview)

All these documents should be sent to NVC at the adress shown on the BAR-CODED COVER SHEET you printed after making payment.

also the petitioner needs to submit AOS documents which include;

AOS forms showing how much the peitioner makes

Letter of employment of the petitioner

The petitioner's IRS tax transcripts for the last three years

Dear Mr shakil yasin, please carefully read information on the link for NVC, which was posted by the previous responder. That should give you more than enough information regarding what to submit as supporting documents. Also this will give you idea on AOS and IV docs.

You can make a search at this site and they have some step by step guide that you may find helpful. Match the with the NVC site and you will be in good hands.

Beat of luck.

Not trying to highjack this thread, but I have a quick question about the same subject.

If a citizen files the I-130 for their mother to get an IR-5 visa, can the mother file Adjustment of Status when she's in the US on a B-visa or does she have to leave and go to her home country in order to complete the process?

05/2007 - got married in Germany

05/2007 - filed I-130 via DCF in Frankfurt

08/2007 - interview to prove bona fide marriage

09/2007 - hubby PCSed to GA

10/2007 - hubby deployed to Iraq

04/2008 - hubby on RnR in Germany

08/2008 - received CR-1 visa

12/2008 - flew to GA alone to welcome home the hubs

09/2009 - PCSed to CA

03/2010 - we're pregnant!

06/2010 - applied for German "BBG" to retain German citizenship during naturalization

08/2010 - BBG granted

09/2010 - filed ROC

12/2010 - received 10 year GC

12/2010 - our little miracle is born!!!

01/2011 - PCSed to Germany

01/2012 - filed N-400 for overseas naturalization

03-15-2012 - Best of Both Worlds, I'm a dual citizen :-)
