Being a Senator, Bernie introduced this in the Democrat controlled Senate where Iam sure it will be welcomed with open arms by the freedom loving Dems. We will see.

My prediction? You will see WHY Sanders is not a Democrat.

In the end, the sheeple still get to vote, right? I love how the "problem" now is "well, they get to spend all this money on campaigns and they're basically 'buying' the election." That's a slap in the face to every American. If we're so stupid we can't choose who we want based on the issues and policies of each candidate that's not their fault... it's ours.

doesnt matter which candidate/party is receiving the corporate support. the point of the legislation is to reduce (eliminate?) the power that this kind of money exerts over elections.

After telling businesses that they can no longer spend money to get their voice heard then citizens decide to go after the businesses and make them pay more and themselves less in taxes. The citizens start a smear campaign to get the citizens to hate the businesses and go along with this. The businesses can't even then go and spend money to get their side out there and combat the smears or stories against them. Seems one sided to me but it does sound like an idea that Socialists would love.
