The Mister and I just sent in our AOS application (25/26), so we probably will not hear back until early November. Would this mean that we are October or November filers? Best wishes to you all!!! :)

We'll let you into the exclusive October club. But only if you promise to update your timeline. ;)

We just sent the AOS application too on Oct. 25th. The packet has been delivered, but I guess we will only receive our NOA-1 in November.

My husband and I are going to get our AOS filed either today or tomorrow.

So I guess we're in this group.

Hello, TwoCats! I remember you from our K-1 journey, we were January filers too :)

Hello, TwoCats! I remember you from our K-1 journey, we were January filers too :)

Heyas.

Nice to see some of the same people again.

We got our e-mail notifications last night.

My biggest struggle right now is balancing my limited remaining time off for the year to leave room for a day off for Kata's biometrics. I had unexpected dental issues which ate up my time off. Bleh.

I believe it does speed it up, at least by a week or two. They need the info on the fingerprints (background check) to further process your case, so if you sit waiting for biometrics, then your file sits and wait too. However if your biometrics gets back to them early, then they can pick up your file again and get things going. I've noticed that approximately 1mth after biometrics you get an update on your EAD/AP or interview letter.. That includes walking in early or waiting till your date. So if your appt is scheduled for the 7th of Nov, and you wait till then to do it, expect to get a letter or case update on your case around Dec 7th. However if you walk in for biometrics on the 25th October, you'll get a notice/case update on the 25th Nov. This is all approximate dates. BUT with walking in, you stand nothing to lose, and time saved.

I didn't call them, I just arrived at the center and asked to do it then because I had a free day and my husband had time to drive me. The guard wasn't thrilled but there were only a couple other people in the waiting room so he let us in. I just did it to save time, as I'm very eager for my EAD to arrive before Christmas.
