  1. Case updated online, oath ceremony scheduled for Jan 27th
  2. Ok thanks for the info, I am out of town for 2.5 weeks. My wife noticed something in our informed delivery from immigration but when I check my case online there is no update… wondering if that is my oath ceremony letter or not? Also, don’t want to miss the oath ceremony but don’t think it would be scheduled in the next 2 weeks.
  3. Congrats, everyone that got their oath ceremony scheduled.. was your account updated online, or just a letter in the mail?
  4. Wow that was quick, congrats... today is business day number 36 for me...
  5. Thanks, I guess it is hurry up and wait. Has any August filer gotten an oath ceremony scheduled yet?
  6. Hello all, just found this thread of aug filers. Add me to the list Filed Aug 15th, Aug 30th interview scheduled, Oct 13th interview. Passed interview. IO said 3-4 weeks for oath ceremony letter, online says 30 days.. we have passed both of those dates, anyway to check status of case besides logging in? Also, forgive me new to this but what is for I-751? I have had a GC for 11 yrs and just filed N400 for citizenship, what does form I751 do?
  7. Still with my wife, no arrests, born and raised in Canada. Interview went great, was told 3-4 I should have an oath date. Is there anyway to follow up?
  8. Thanks for the info, it has now been 35 business days since my interview, website and the lady at the interview said I should hear something about the oath within 30 days. Any reason to be worried yet?
  9. no panic, just want as much heads up as possible, will prob need to take the day off work.
  10. Passed the interview 2 weeks ago, how long does it normally take for the oath ceremony. IO said 2-4 weeks expect a letter but had no idea how far out the date would be.
  11. Hmm interesting.. how long was your interview?
  12. I have all our passports ready.. did they want an actual copy of the passport photo? Did you have one?
  13. Thanks Mike, appreciate the response. Getting ready for my interview this week, have all the paper work requested from the invite. (marriage certificate etc) Anyone get asked for something else not on that list before? Should I bring last few yrs tax returns? Kind of surprised that isn't listed.
  14. Since applying, my timeline on USCIS has gone from 19 months to 13 months, no need for finger prints to 10 months. Now I got a interview letter with an interview date for October. Is this the interview where I have to prove proficiency in english and US history? It seems like this is going very quick. What is left after the interview?
  15. Thanks Mike, appreciate it, I won't need to renew my drivers license for another 4 yrs, and I don't plan on getting a new job anytime soon. Again excuse my ignorance but what is an I-551 stamp? Is that what was put in my passport when I first entered the country?
  16. Thanks for the response Arken, I appreciate all the help this community has given me over the years. Looking at a few timelines I see ppl that have filed and done their bio appointment on the same day? I just got the letter saying they received my car and to wait for a letter from them to Schedule the bio appointment. How are ppl getting their bio appointment done the day they file? Is there a way I can schedule it before I receive the letter?
  17. Another question for the group. I just applied for citizenship, my green card expires march of 24. My case says average time until decision for citizenship is 19 months which puts me at march of 24.... I assume there will be some kind of delay as there always is. Do I need to renew my green card just incase citizenship takes loner then 19 months? Thanks for all your help.
  18. Thanks for all the info everyone, I did check and NW indiana is still covered by the chicago office, so I should be ok to apply now correct?
  19. One thing that I didn't see in there is how to handle people moving? I have lived in Illinois for the past 8 yrs. WE are moving to Indiana at the end of the month. Do I need to wait to apply or is it easy to list current address and change it later?
  20. Thanks for the info, I'll take a look.
  21. Hello VJ, Man does time fly, it seems like just yesterday I was going through the K1 process. Well, fast fwd 11 yrs.. I am coming to the VJ community for help once again. Looking to start the citizenship process and am looking to be pointed in the right direction. As a green card holder do I need to file for an adjustment of status? Or a brand new N400? So many questions, looking for some guidance. Little info about myself, current green card holder, originally from a K1 visa. still married, 11 yrs later, not wanting to renew my green card again. Thanks in advance
