Congrats! kicking.gifkicking.gif So close to beating the fastest NVC record of 11 days.

I tried to be as fast as I could be. Thank God for the late vacation in Egypt to have the husband get all his papers while I was there...just in case. And in this case it was an awesome idea. Really wish I could give him a hug and share a nice dinner tonight. :crying:

BUt I am very happy about the CC. :D

By any chance...when i wake up tomorrow will it be reopened for any reason? Or when CC it stays CC?

You should be happy with your CC! Lots of people take weeks and weeks to get through NVC!

As far as I know, a CC stays a CC. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get problems AFTER a CC. I've seen it a few times after a SIF, but not with a CC. I think you're safe ;)

I called AVR this morning and it confirmed that the case is closed.

Still no SIF at payment portal. I guess it is still broken.

I will notify you if husband gets an email stating CC.

Thank God

Good luck to everyone. I hope CC for all very soon.

Thanks guys hopefully it will be taken care of soon. Now, I have another problem: when I called the NVC they said they did not have my birth certificate. I seriously tried not to get angry on the phone, but are these people SERIOUS??!!?!?!?!??!?! I not only TRANSLATED the damn thing, I put a POST-IT telling them it was the Birth Certificate because it was not easy to tell. Sometimes I think they are doing it on purpose.

Saylin, how does this whole supervisor revision work? I pointed to him which one was the Birth Certificate. I told him it was a certified copy he got at the Mayor of his town and he said he will tell a supervisor to look at it and that it will take 10 days to fix. They are driving me LOCA EN LA CABEZA

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you!! We're having exactly the same problem, rfe for missing birth cert. Our case was sent for supervisor review last week, this week they said that it should be done next week. I hope that's true. It's really annoying to get an rfe because the reviewer makes a mistake, it's so unfair!! We could've had a CC by now. I will let you know when I hear something about our case, to give you an idea on how long it takes. :)

I think our foreign birth certificates must confuse them. They don't look like certified copies but they are.

My payment portal FINALLY says PAID. At least one thing is taken care of. Did you speak to a supervisor personally or did an operator just tell you a supervisor would "review" it.

This is so frustrating, the operator found the certificate himself so it's there, why do they have to make us wait even more?

Dumb and Dumber:

I would like you to edit your timeline to show the day it arrived at NVC to the day you actually got your numbers cause your timeline makes it look like you did nothing for 1 month.

ok i will try Ok I looked at my timeline and it did take 3 weeks just to get my case number. I immediately sent in the Agent Form and then it has all gone pretty fast from there. But yep for about a month I called for a case number every day.

Congrats on the bill finally showing paid! :)

My husband talked to the supervisor and she said they needed another week to review it. That was on Tuesday. She didn't actually look at the papers when my husband talked to her, which I was hoping she would. I would like them to tell us if they don't accept the birth certificate or if they just overlooked it. It shouldn't be that hard :bonk:

The birth certificate you sent, was it in french with a translation or was it a multilingual one?

Here in Norway the gov't issues a multilingual one with Norwegian, German and English on it. That's what I sent cause I thought that should be fine. It has a stamp on it and it says "extract from register of birth". Maybe that was too confusing for them :)

I hope it works out for all of us soon!

OMG!! 6 or 7 months. Wow!! We have already been through so much pain over this long wait. I could not stand waiting another 6 or 7 months even though I will if I have to. I am praying we get a date that will get him here before Christmas. My father is so looking forward to him being here for Christmas.
