Does anyone know how far out they are scheduling medicals at Kinghtsbridge(London)?

My hubby is leaving on Sat to head back to the UK and I think it would be wise for him to get this set up.

I have paid and sent off my I-864 bill and paper work.

Just need to pay and send off the DS230 stuff.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far

I just scheduled my appointment for next week (friday), I could of had it sooner if id wanted.

mailed i130: 05-05-2011

Dumb and Dumber:

I would like you to edit your timeline to show the day it arrived at NVC to the day you actually got your numbers cause your timeline makes it look like you did nothing for 1 month.

Hello everyone!I'm also originally in the September thread but decided to move in here it thats okay! :P

Yesterday, we received an email from NVC, the 5th checklist cover letter of our case (see my timeline/signature below) and this is what it says:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: BENEFICIARY'S NAME

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864). Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The barcode sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

My question is, does this mean that they've already finished reviewing our IV packet and found it complete? We just mailed our new I-864 form (as requested in checklist cover letter #4) and we're expecting NVC to receive it october 13. :)

hello everybody! wanted to ask your opinion on this, I still haven't received a case number yet. I have a lady that helps me with the paperwork but I'm actually more hands on right now, I went to show her my NOA2 today and I told her I've been calling NVC every day for update on my case and she got a big OHH nooo face and said dont' call them everyday since they might move it to the side and not to get too excited that you will get your case number soon, since your husband is from Mexico and due to all the problems, they might put your case on the side, is that true? she also said it might take more than a month =/

Hi!Uhm, I'm not an expert on the whole immigration process, but to give you an insight, based on my case, my petition got approved by the USCIS last july 28, received by NVC last august 8 and was assigned a case number september 8 (exactly one month after NVC received my file from USCIS). :)

Woo, things are progressing! Hubby has started the CIPC check, and should have birth certificate in hand soon. And I didn't have to crack heads over him trying to go to Vancouver for the medical. Woohoo!

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

I believe that yes, the IV package was reviewed and accepted. Now they're just waiting for the I-864, then you're done :)

Don't listen to this "lady". You're allowed to call every day, although I wouldn't suggest calling like every 5 minutes. Once or twice a day is acceptable. And they don't put cases on the side if you're from Mexico, or any country for that matter. The officers review packages as they arrive on their desk. That's their job.

And the only reason it would take more than a month to get a case number is if the backlog at NVC gets worse. Nothing to do with what country you're from or anything. But I've noticed it dropped from a month to three weeks, so you should be getting yours soon :)

Omg, finally! Progress! kicking.gif Is the police check and birth certificate the last things needed for the IV package?
