Do I have to wait for NVC to notify me with all the paperwork or could I just start doing the paperwork now?

You could have started preparing the paperwork before you even got approval of the I-130.

All you have to wait for is the green light to SEND them in. And you can only send the packages in when their respective bill is appearing as PAID in the payment portal.

That is what I am talking about do I wait for the green light lol because the only thing I am missing is employment vertifcation and that will come in a week or so.

As long as the respective bill is showing as PAID in the payment portal, yes, you can send the respective package. No need to wait for NVC to email you saying you can send in the package. Waste of time.

Hi Everyone. I have been hanging out at the NVC-September thread. Saylin was kind enough to invite me over here. She must know I will have many more questions. LOL

I had NOA1 on Sept 11th

NVC gave me a case number Sept 30th

I have paid for and sent off both packages to NVC and now I wait.......

I just want to say that alot of good information was given on the last thread NVC-September. So if you have free time while you are waiting browse the other NVC threads. Had I known about them all or how to find them I would not have bothered people so much.

Good Luck

HI there

A quick update for you all.

Following getting my NVC #:,

I sent a correction email (dob was wrong) with evidence attached, as advised by operator.

Had an email a few hours later saying it had been amended. Phoned NVC to check...sure enough it was corrected, that was easy! Couldn't get USCIS to do it..how ever many times I wrote to them.

I booked my medical - 20th October

I then sent in DS-3032 and I logged into the payment portal..(one of those new things you just have to check!) and it showed not invoiced..no surprise, I hadn't had an email to say they accepted my ds-3032 or a bill for that matter...but it felt good anyway to be able to log in.

Got an email later saying 'We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address'. Guessed I sent in ds-3032 in too fast.

I sent them a copy of the expedite request (5th October) that I had sent to USCIS, with a few corrections as it was now NVC, making sure I followed the correct information I found on the VJ site.

Had two emails yesterday:

one for the expedite saying 'Your request for the expeditious processing of this immigrant visa petition is currently under review. You will be informed of the results when the review is completed'.

and another email about the ds-3032 'This petition is currently undergoing additional processing. We will send further instructions once this processing is completed'.

I logged into the payment portal and got SIF. Contacted NVC, who said they sent an email to London yesterday. So waiting time to see if they accept or deny the expedite. Which is fine under the circumstances over state side.

Anyway, I am busy working, trying to get the house emptied, not an easy task at all..where does all the stuff come from! My dog had his vet appointment..he is all ok, just need to take him to the vets again nearer to the time for his health certificate. I need to help get my older daughter, her husband and my grandson, sorted into a new property as currently they live with me also! A lot to do and I am feeling tired all the time..and look around thinking this will take years to sort things here, so booked a week off work, end of October, as I will be moving out of the house on the 4th November and going to stay with my sister until Immigration finally happens. My thoughts to be honest for setting a moving out date is, it will be less to think about when the interview finally comes...that I am pretty much ready to hop on a plane!

It's funny to be at this stage again, as I did this once before 14 years ago..but the process was very different back then and my circumstances also.

Ah well, we will see, just a little update for you all.

I am joining you over here too. Yes so much good info on the Sept thread. How will I know when the Case is closed at NVC. They told me yesterday that DS-230 was reviewed with no RFE, looks good per operator. She said the I-864 was probably in the process of being reviewed. When I call today, will they tell me the case is closed or just tell me both have been reviewed with no RFE's. Will that mean the case is closed???

You can hear today from an operator that your case is closed. It depends if they're finished reviewing your I-864 or not. You can also hear from the AVR whether your case is closed or not, although this way is a little slower as I've noticed the AVR takes a few days to update. And lately, I've seen a few people not doing EP getting emails saying their case is complete. So you MIGHT get an email as well, not sure.
