Hi my wife is filing the form i 130 and she needs the supporting documents to prove citizenship so far she has her passport and her citizenship card. she lost her naturalization certificate. she gained she citizenship through her parents so my question is, will it be enough to submit the US passport and the citizenship card only since she doesn't have the birth certificate?

My second question is about the for I 485 the first question states:

I am applying for and adjustment to permanent resident status because:

we don't know between letters a through h which to choose

I came here as a visitor and overstayed, got married, now applying for permanent residency.

When I sent mine in for my husband I only sent copies of my WHOLE passport, I didn't have to send anything else in because on the instructions it states that AN UNEXPIRED is good. good luck

It is choice A.

Read through the parentheses. It says something like "an immigrant petition is filed in conjunction with this form" if you read through all the stuff in parentheses.

Let me write it all on here just to be sure.

An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile, or special immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you an immediate available visa number, if approved)

*(I entered on a visitor visa and overstayed)

Yes, it's A. Trust Harpa. You need to read what it says carefully and think about it:

An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile, or special immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you an immediately available visa number, if approved)

Your i-130 is the relative visa petition filed with this application that will give you an immediately available visa number, IF APPROVED.

Hi my wife is filing the form i 130 and she needs the supporting documents to prove citizenship so far she has her passport and her citizenship card.

The US government doesn't issue cards to prove citizenship. There's no such thing as a US "citizenship card".

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

Thanks everybody for your help, it was really appreciated.

Even though im not really 100% I guess my best bet would be option A.

As far as proof of citizenship I'll send the passport and some other card that she has that shows her citizenship and see if they'll accept it.

one more question.

I lost my i-94 but I still have the number to put on the form but i lost the actual card. I still have my passport with the U.S customs stamp that shows my entry date. will it be a big issue if don't have the card????

I am under a temporary protected status now.

. . . . she lost her naturalization certificate. she gained she citizenship through her parents . . .

If that's the case, she never had a Certificate of Naturalization to begin with.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

There is, actually. It's an I-197; only issued to certain individuals, including certain types of indians. It's not really in use anymore, though.

There's also the passport card.
