I received notice on Aug 11 that our case was transferred to CSC, and other than our biometrics appointment this Friday, no news. We are just sitting tight. Hope I'm not missing anything!

  • Oct 19, 2010: NOA2 (email received)
  • Oct 27, 2010: NVC receipt (date on notice)
  • Nov 08, 2010: Packet 3 received from Montreal
  • Nov 16, 2010: Sent Packet 3 forms to Montreal via post
  • Nov 30, 2010: Packet 4 received, interview scheduled
  • Mar 09, 2011: Interview in Montreal - passed!
  • Apr 27, 2011: Entry to US, wondrously uneventful
  • Jun 08, 2011: Official marriage in US
  • Jul 15, 2011: Sent AOS forms
  • Jul 21, 2011: NOA1 for I-485, EAD and AP
  • Aug 11, 2011: Received notice that I-485 case has been transferred to CSC

I checked the USCIS website this morning to see if anything changed on our status. I was surprised to see that AP was approved 9/21 and EAD approved 9/27.

We received no sms or email for either. Still haven't received notice in the mail for AP and sill waiting on AOS. But this is great news for us.

I received an email yesterday about EAD card production and this morning about AP approval.

I am hoping that the EAD card will arrive next week so I can start working, the future employer has been waiting for over a month.

How long has it taken for you to receive the card from the date of card production?

Her combo card arrived unexpectedly today (EAD/AP). We never received an email, text or letter about this at all. The website still doesn't say anything about card production. Weird. Anyway, I'm helping her with her resume tonight and we're headed down to Mexico on Saturday for lunch with friends. This is so cool!

We tested out AP today at the San Ysidro/Tijuana border today...we joined a friend from work and his wife for lunch and returned back home. I was a little nervous at the border, not completely sure that this little card would actually do all that they say it will. But there were no questions asked. The card was scanned along with our passports and "have a nice day."

When we arrived home, there was a letter from USCIS in our mailbox. It was our notice for our interview date of 11/3/2001.

Cool day.
