IRS transcript and unsigned 1040 income tax

I just received my 3 years IRS transcripts for my I-864. Do i still need to submit or include my 1040 form with my IRS transcripts? My problem is my 3 years (2008,2009,2010 ) 1040 form copy was not signed when I made a copy. I was wondering if this is still necessarily if you already have a copy or 3 years IRS transcript and W2 copy... Thanks!

Logically NVC should have any issue if you send them last 3 years transcripts. But to be on safe side, sign the 2010 Tax return and send a copy of the full set.

We too didn't sign any of tax returns as those were all filed and signed electronically. So it is perfectly alright to print one copy of 1040 or ....now and send that with I-864 set.

YOu have the certified copies from IRS. You are fine. Wow you file in 3/2011 yours was fast. Our 130 was files by attorney April 2010. a whoe year before you.

Navy--NVC specifically states they prefer the transcripts, so sending the actual returns is not only redundant, but is actually not following the instructions, and the way to get thru the process the quickest is to ALWAYS follow the instructions even if they may not always make complete sense.

She's right on. Don't give too much. Just give what they ask for. 3 years of transcripts will do.

I went and read the instructions again. Yes, it is either the tax returns or the transcripts - more over only the latest year is the requirement and the next 2 latest are optional.

I don't how but somehow a few mentioned about 6 months of pay stubs, whereas just the proof of employment is the requirement. Any thought on this!

Pay stubs are optional, but recommended, as it shows proof of current income, as does the employment letter.

i did not realize that before..i just check mine tax returns for 2008,2009,2010.

2009 has sign on it but 2008 & 2010 don't have sign on it. for 2008 i do have also transcript but i don't have 2010 one.

do i need to go IRS office to get one..or i can sign on it or make it another copy.

Get a 2010 transcript. I ordered ours from the IRS in May for the AOS interview and was able to receive it and I filed April 15th. If you have about one week then the transcript will arrive in time. It is also better proof as it is what the IRS has on file for you. ANybody can print out a tax return, sign it, and claim to have filed it. That is why transcripts are preferred.

To request either transcript online, go to http://www.irs.gov and look for our new online tool called Order A Transcript. To order by phone, call 800-908-9946 and follow the prompts in the recorded message

very easy and it will arrive in about one week or so.

It is either tax returns or IRS transcripts, so you should be fine with 2010 tax returns (full set please). Since we are all waiting for the cases to get to NVC, it may be good to just apply for 2010 transcript and you will get it in mail in 4 - 5 days. Just call the 1-800-829-1040 and following the instructions - pretty easy.

i call them they put me on hold 20mints. i think its better if i go IRS office to get one.

Thanks guys! I will send my 3 years IRS transcript only. Also i just want to follow up on pay stubs. Does 6 months really necessary? I have only from April to end of June pay stubs... I'm pretty sure these are enough...
