Well looky there- just received the NOA2 hardcopy! Thanks everyone, we're sooo thrilled. :)

Congrats to you! 79 days is the best non-expedite I've seen :) So you have the hard-copy in hand now? Out of curiosity can you check the website and see if it still says initial review? Also what was your reason for calling in the first place to check up (I may want to use that same excuse when I call :D).

Again, congrats!

Thanks! The hardcopy came yesterday and yes, the website is still showing 'Initial Review' with no recent touches. I decided to call in yesterday because I read that someone else on here did and found out they were approved.

So, I simply told the Tier 2 rep that I'd heard the online system isn't always reliable, so I wanted to call in to check my case status. She told me the good news right then! :)

I'm sooo excited to report that we got our NOA2! Apparently we were approved on 6/17 (I never received an email/text alert). I called in today to check the status and asked for a Tier 2 Rep at USCIS...and boy am I glad that I did. YAYYYY!!!!!

PS- The website still says 'Initial Review' so don't be afraid to follow up!

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations, and might I add those people at USCIS can be rude. I called and to check the status of mine just because I'm curious and she told me the processing time is 6 months and that it can't be approved right now, and I said that a lot of people on here we're being approved fairly shortly and she came back with "Well those cases have nothing to do with yours", I said well I just wanted to get the status on mine, but thanks for your help and she hung up on me. Is it really that big of a deal to get the case status, or am I just being outlandish?

Thanks,

Brandon

Well Holy #######! I followed your instructions - the automated message said it was still in initial review.. I talked to the tier 1 rep who said there was no change. She was polite but did not want to send me to a tier 2 person and assured me it was still in initial review.. I insisted on talking to a tier 2 person - When I got to the tier 2 person I mentioned that for several people the website was not accurate and she said "You were actually approved June 17th, the letter went out Monday the 20th". Yip! Yip! Yip!

So Thank you thank you thank you! Good Info!
