So I got a letter from the consulate asking me for four things, all of which I included in my original packet 3 (including the photos, and you guys remember me going on about the size of the photos!). I tried to call Montreal but of course they don't speak with you on the phone, and when I emailed them it said they would get back to me within TWO WEEKS. I'm very frustrated because I don't know what happened that either these things are missing from my package now (and I KNOW we put them in, I checked that thing a dozen times) or that they want doubles.

It's making me very upset because I worked so hard on that packet 3 (and everything else) and now I have to redo things with no explanation whatsoever. I am already stressed out that I have to go to Montreal for my medical on friday, which means bloodwork (I'm very needle-phobic), so this is not helping. What if this stuff doesn't get sorted in time for my interview August 31st and I have to book a new one, which wouldn't be for AGES? I am clearly freaking out here guys :(

They put up a stink about your photos? I didn't even include mine, because they were listed on the checklist and I read somewhere that they just ask for them again. That's too bad. I'm sure it will all get sorted out and in plenty of time for your interview. It looks like we just miss each other at our interviews by a day.

As for the blood work, don't fret and stress. It's easy peazy and will be done before you know it!

JoAnne had her interview yesterday ... it was soooo easy! She felt like telling the VO that he should ask tougher questions!!! She was ready for anything, but all she got was total softball questions. They didnt look at any evidence and I think the VO was not eve familiar with the contents of the 129K Question 18 ... We'll write up a formal consulate review soon, we took lots of notes on the process and what she saw.

Go PINK!!! ...

PS ... still working on our recipe :-)

Congratulations James and JoAnne!!! :)

Our interview is coming up in 11 days. Hope to have simple questions and easy pink like JoAnne's :)

Looking forward to reading your consulate review with lots of interesting notes!!

Thanks!!!! :)

Lovin' all these approvals. Keepin' my fingers and toes crossed (I hate being at a high-fraud consulate!).

Yes, hope to hear good news from you on the 15th before my fiancee goes for her interview on the 19th :)

Well they didn't say they were WRONG, just that I had to send more in along with the other forms they were asking for. I just got them done at the drugstore again (Canadian one this time though) and sent those in, so I hope its not the size! This is why I'm frustrated, if I don't know what exactly I did wrong/didn't do/whatever, how can I fix it this time?

I sent in everything they asked for today and its guaranteed to get there monday, though it could always get there tomorrow since it doesn't have that far to go. I should have just brought it myself since I'm going to the city for my medical anyway! hahah.

thanks for the reassurance about the blood work, I'll be thinking of Blake and my new home in Atlanta the whole time!

My medical went well. A lot of going back and forth from the waiting room to other rooms and back again for more waiting. I didn't like the doctor who I saw first much (though he wasn't very good in English so maybe he just didn't come off well) but everyone else was nice and I lived through the needle for bloodwork all on my own and didn't cry or anything :)

Then we went to the mall and I got the dress that I'll wear for our courthouse ceremony. I don't want to make a big deal about it since its not our 'real' wedding and I don't want to change the feel of our big day, but a girl can't say no to another pretty white dress! heehee

Sorry I haven't been around for a while...not sure I was even missed haha...but Byron dumped me last Saturday. He said the fights were too much, and yeah there were plenty. But only because of the stress of distance. Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck, and happiness in your marriages! This forum was such a great support for me!

Well, this is terrible news. I hope it's just stress and nerves and he will be presenting flowers and chocolates and an apology soon.

This IS the most stressful thing I've ever gone through, I'm sure it is for many other people too. People do stupid things when they're stressed (the empty containers of ice cream in my trash will attest to that).

I hope you post back with good news soon!

OMG! NOOOOOOOOOoooooo!! I'm so sorry! I totally understand. This process is so stressful and causes so much anxiety and stress. It takes an incredible amount of strength from BOTH of you to make it. Give it a little time. He either will come back around, or you will realize that you dodged a bullet. You support each other through better or worse. Doesn't sound like he could handle the "worse" bit. Heart goes out to you...someone out there has bigger plans for you. Keep your head up!!!

Oh sweetie... I'm so sorry to read this. I am very much hoping that Byron will come around since the interview is in only a short time away. I know, believe me, that this process is a MEGA STRESSFUL THING to live through. I am sure each one of us can relate and it's not easy. No matter what, you're still a Decemberite!
