08/20/09 - Interview notice arrived dated 08/18/09 - Sept 24th/09

08/21/09 - Got EAD Card in the mail!! :D

hey VJ,

it has been about 2 months and i never got an biometric appointment date. so i called the VSC they gave a new refrence number, does any one know what does it mean? how long i have to wait again to call VSC? or what the next step i have to do? thanks in advance for your help. abby

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Starburst, no matter what, we always do things on the same day , it's been that way since the AOS, it's too funny :lol: !

Hello everyone. I'm also a June filer. My biometrics appointment is on Friday. Do I need to bring any proof of marriage documents? Or just my ID's?

just id and would be better if you take your green card with you and the appointment letter for sure good luck

Aug 21st - GC production ordered

Aug 24th - Welcome to the USA letter received

Aug 31st - Rec'd son's GC

Sept 2nd - Rec'd my GC ....all set for 2 years now

LIFTING CONDITIONS

June 20th sent I-751 to Vermont

June 25th received at Vermont.

June 27th NOA date

July 2nd Packet returned as section not filled in correctly---how stupid am I?!?!?

July 5th Packet sent back (overnight delivery) to USCIS with form filled in correctly

July 6th Packet received and signed for at Vermont

August 18th Biometrics Appointment in Philly........JULY 27TH EARLY BIOMETRICS DONE

Nearly 1 year later!!!
....received notification for my son to get biometrics done!(May 15th 2012)

May 11th 2012 Son's biometrics done early

June 2012 - Notice of lifting of conditions received

June 12th - texts- GC in production

June 13th - text- GC in post

June 15th - Received GC's!!!!!!

Biometrics done today, in and out in 10 minutes :dance: .

Starburst, no matter what, we always do things on the same day , it's been that way since the AOS, it's too funny :lol: !

hahaha I know! It's fairly hilarious! I wonder if it'll continue, and we'll get approved back to back! rofl.gif

AOS Short Version:

06/26/09 - Mailed package to Chicago Lockbox!

07/07/09 - NOA's Arrive for AP, AOS & EAD [dated 07/01/09]

07/17/09 - Biometrics Completed [ Completed in 17 Days ]

08/12/09 - EAD APPROVED! Card Ordered! [Approved in 47 Days]

08/20/09 - Interview notice arrived dated 08/18/09 - Sept 24th/09

08/21/09 - Got EAD Card in the mail!! :D

09/24/09 - Interview Date: 9:00am - APPROVED

10/03/09 -Received GC!!!!!

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval : 86 Days

ROC:

04/01/11 - Preparing for ROC currently

06/27/11 - ROC Mailed!

07/02/11 - NOA1 Arrived [dated 06/30/11]

07/13/11 - Biometrics letter arrived [08/01/11]

10/31/11 - Final Approval!

11/04/11 - Received new card today.

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval: 125 Days

Next Step will be citizenship in June 2012!

Ok so i had my biometrics done. Now, how long should I wait in order to hear "some news"?

I saw on USCIS.gov website that the estimates for I-751 are 6 months. Not sure when the start date for that countdown is, From when they receive it or some other beginning date? In our case they received it June 15, so if that is the start date we could expect, on average, to have our ROC completed sometime in December this year.

On June 16, 2011, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

1. Why does it say CRI89 - We filed I751

2. We did biometrics on 7/22. There is no update in the USCIS website indicating we have completed biometrics? Is it normal. Do they usually update? How soon do they update?

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

3/9 - Medicals Completed

3/31 - Interview Successful

4/3 - Received Visa

4/20 - Arrival

CR = "Conditional resident". You file an I-751 and a CR189 is the form THEY use in processing it internally at USCIS.
