Can health issues get citizenship revoked?

So, I was recently diagnosed with a serious health issue that keeps me bed-ridden for another week (which means that due to boredom, you'll see me on here this week, at least during my bouts of consciousness).

So, because I am near death at the moment, can USCIS revoke my wife's citizenship, under the theory of, "Her applicaton was fraudulent - you knew you could get sick and die before filing for the K-1 visa six years ago, and you did it anyway. We're going to revoke her citizenship and send her back to Russia."

What do you think?

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Take two aspirin and go to bed, the fever has caused you to become delirious. Citizenship is not easily revoked. In fact unless you are found out to be a war criminal or terrorist or gained entry through some serious fraud scheme or other such devious activity it is extremely rare and unlikely for the US Government go revoke citizenship.

Better than sending her back to Canada. Russia is warmer.

My suggesion AK is to go ahead and die. The internet is everywhere now. If you end up floating through the clouds playing a harp or down deep shoveling coal into the fires I am sure they will let you take a break to log on the VJ and we will post if they sent her back or not so you will know.

Uncertainty sucks and everyone dies sooner or later. Do it now and we can all have the answer to that question.

I think they can revoke your citizenship and keep your wife.

Akdiver, are you serious? Sending someone back to their country after their spouse passes away is ridiculous. You truly must have delirium from your illness.

If she has all the money, then file bankruptcy now to protect her money. After all, after you pass on, I'm sure there will be plenty of guys sniffing around her.

Listen to me: walk toward the light. Do you understand? Walk toward the light! If you see a space ship hovering above you, don't look straight into the light though. In that case run away from the light!

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

If the U.S. government has these rules for new spouses of deceased citizens, what do you think they will do for U.S. citizens whose spouse died? :bonk: :bonk:

USCIS Update: USCIS Issues Guidance for Surviving Spouses of U.S. Citizens

Deferred Action Authorized for Certain Spouses and Children

WASHINGTON - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today issued guidance on requesting deferred action for surviving spouses of U.S. citizens who died before the second anniversary of their marriage. Surviving spouses qualify for this temporary program if they were married to, but not legally separated from, their U.S. citizen spouse at the time of that spouse's death; did not remarry; and are currently residing in the United States.

Surviving spouses qualify for deferred action regardless of whether the U.S. citizen spouse filed a Form I-130 petition for them. Surviving spouses may ask to have their qualifying children included in their deferred action request. To be considered a "qualifying child" of a surviving spouse, the child must be younger than age 21 or otherwise qualify as a child when the deferred action request is submitted; currently reside in the United States; and be unmarried.

USCIS has revised the instructions to the Forms I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and I-131, Application for Travel Document, as they relate to this temporary new program.

Surviving spouses who apply for deferred action will need to file Form I-360 with supporting documentation and the $375 filing fee with the Vermont Service Center.

Work authorization will be available to surviving spouses and qualifying children who are granted deferred action and who can establish economic necessity. Form I-765 is used for this purpose (separate applications are required for each person seeking work authorization).

Travel authorization will also be available to surviving spouses and qualified children granted deferred action under this program.

USCIS has posted on the Web, an accompanying list of questions and answers and a fact sheet about this program. For additional information about this and other immigration services, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283, or visit our homepage.

Now that's two things I can't let my wife see.

Newborn babies, and the fact she'll still get a greencard if I kick the bucket...

In addition to slipping her birth control pills, it looks like I'll have to start hiding the sharp objects.

Perhaps they can start passing that out at the interview the way the do information about domestic abuse. It would eliminate many of the Green Card girls faking domestic abuse and marring the record of innocent guys. Insted they can just slip a little rat poison into his beer and it would not only solve the fake domestic abuse problems but help reduce future Social Security obligations.
