What A Joke: Obama: "The World Is Now Safer."

Safer? He's joking right? Osama has been irrelevant for years except on the minds of the US. Hell, the US Government made him out to be such for years now, being deathly ill, being said that he's probably already dead, etc...

Now all of a sudden the world is 'safer?'

WASHINGTON (AP) — Declaring the killing of Osama bin Laden "a good day for America," President Barack Obama said Monday the world was safer without the al-Qaida terrorist and mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. His administration used DNA testing to help confirm that American forces in Pakistan had in fact killed bin Laden, as U.S. officials sought to erase all doubt.

"Today we are reminded that as a nation there is nothing we can't do," Obama said. He hailed the pride of those who broke out in overnight celebrations as the stunning news spread around the globe.

An elite crews of American forces killed bin Laden during a daring raid on Monday. Bin Laden was shot in the head during a firefight and then quickly buried at sea. White House officials were mulling the merits and appropriateness of releasing a photo.

As spontaneous celebrations and expressions of relief gave way to questions about precisely what happened and what comes next, U.S. officials warned that the campaign against terrorism is not nearly over — and that the threat of retaliation was real.

Senior administration officials said the DNA testing alone offered near 100 percent certainty that bin Laden was in fact shot dead. Detailed photo analysis by the CIA, confirmation by a woman believed to be bin Laden's wife on site, and matching physical features like bin Laden's height all helped confirmed the identification.

Killing Bin Laden is definitely not irrelevant. The US have made this a top priority and it is in that light that its achievement is both relevant and important.

Eliminating an intellectual terrorist figurehead will not end terrorism, but it does change things. One can hope that good things will come out of it, I certainly do, never mind whether or not I dance on graves.

Its also shown unveiled Pakistan to the world as a clear supporter of terrorism. (not that this wasn't clear before...its just that its crystal now)

I am glad this murder has been eliminated....would have been better to take him alive so that we could see the justice but now I have to wonder what is going to happen to Pakistan there have already been so much terrorism there and this is just going to make the terrorist turn that country into a fire ball.....

didn't hurt Obamas chances at another term either after all he did something bushy could not do.......

there are all kinds of questions and false ideas out there but the back lash from the terrorists could be worse than what lead us to this war to begin with....

He is dead alright but is Alqaeda or Taliban gonna stop ?, in fact now Taliban is threatening to launch attacks against Pakistani and American places, so yeah that's a joke
