I am getting so frickin pissed off at the USCIS. I have patiently waited 6 months for an approval or RFE or denial or something. Have heard nothing except give us another 60 days. I cannot believe this is the United States Government. I cannot believe US citizens are being treated this way. I have paid taxes my whole life, served 4 years of Honorable service in the United States Marine Corps. I am doing this the American way by filing paperwork properly instead of just being a douchebagger and trying to sneak her in the border. Why can't they fix their freakin system so we the citizens, the people who pay them to even have a job can see where are case is at in the process. Maybe they can make it to where we can see that they are waiting on a background search or waiting on a response from your local county courthouse to verify your previous divorce was legal. Or maybe see that they are currently on the golf course and will resume work on your case once they finished the 18. Instead they leave us completely in the dark knowing absolutely nothing. I am telling you my bitterness is brewing badly. My Senator was able to get my case approved for an expedite on Wednesday and still have heard nothing. Has anyone ever called to speak to a teir 2 officer and requested to speak to their supervisor? Any luck getting that done that way? If i have to, i will email the Director of the Department of Homeland Security. I am so sick of waiting for an answer that will only take 10 minutes of somebodies time. I mean i know how difficult physical and mentally their job must be, having to work Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm even having all of the medical and retirement benefits. Truthfully i would rather be a Port-a-John cleaner than have to undergo the physical and mental strain of their schedule. One thing i am doing consistently is calling them twice a day and speaking with a teir 2 officer. Next week will be three times a day and the week after that will be four times a day. You can start calling me Andy Dufrene(you know Shawshank) if you want to. Each one of them will be told that i am calling that much. And i will continue to call that much until one of them burns the ten calories it takes of getting up off their ####, walking five steps to the next desk and asking their supervisor to call the VSC. If they are going to waste me and my families time, i am going to waste theirs. Can i get an Amen??!! They are already getting to know me.

Any thoughts anyone? Suggestions?

First, I loved the Shawshank Redemption reference.

I don't really have any advice for you. You're doing what you should be doing. You called them and you called your Senator. I know you're tired of hearing it but hang in there; your time is coming soon.

Good luck and I hope that very soon you'll be posting that you got approved.

Good luck.. I hope things speed up for you.

Whilst it may only take 10 minutes to look at a petition... 10 minutes x the number of petitions they receive = lots of time!

Not sure that ringing 4 times a day is going to help your case any... but I wish you all the best, and hopefully things start to move a bit quicker for you!

I really think that it is the adjucator working on my case. Because all ten of the other case numbers that are next to mine are still in Initial Review as well. I am trying to come up with excuses in my head for the adjucator other than a lazy ####. Maybe they were on vacation for several weeks and they were assigned those cases before they left. Maybe they dont know how to read or write. Maybe the only language they know is hindu. Maybe their full time job is the assistant manager at the local Burger King and the USCIS gig is only part time. Who Knows.

Amen. Maybe you can set up a visit in person thru Infopass. I've written to 2 members of Congress in the last 3 weeks (and also put in a service request) but still haven't gotten any feedback. I'm gonna setup an appointment next week thru Infopass with the local USCIS office here in Dallas if my case is still under "Initial Review"..... Good luck to you.... My past is clean as a whistle, there's no reason my case should take this long.

Actions by Senators are paying off for people, if you're reading other stories here. Nothing is 100% in the immigration process, but I'm confident that your time is coming soon.

Times have changed. I tried to contact my Senator (Kay Bailey Hutchison) a couple of years ago, by confidential referral from my lawyer to KBH's very highest staffer. After two full days of phone tag and hours on hold, I finally got to speak with the aide. As I tried to explain the situation, she cut me off with (and this is verbatim) "The Senator has far more important things to do than to concern herself with one person's K-1 petition." Those words, and the dismissive disdain with which they were delivered, will haunt my brain forever. I'll not shed tears if KBH finally lives up to her promise not to run for re-election (her third such promise, I think). You're in a much more promising situation, so keep the faith, si man.

I understand that English is not your mother tongue, so here's a hint: a doctor has patients. If you can't stand waiting any longer at the doctor's office, you lose your patience.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Careful not to piss them off. I assume it shouldn't matter, but rule #1 in my view on anything in life... Do you really want to piss off the guy/gal that controls something that "you" want? Think about that before you start making calls daily.

Patience. It will happen.

As I was reading your post, one thing I know is I feel the the same way you feel four days ago. Sometimes, in life we want something really bad, but unfortunately things aren't always seems to be on our side.

Remember: "Sometimes patience is a common necessity" You'll get your approval soon no matter how long will it takes, but in order to stay afloat it requires long patience and endless hope.
