He was 9 years old when WWII ended.

Lolo Soetoro (Obama's step father) Born: January 2,1935 Died: 3/2/87 at the age of 52.
He was 10 years old when WWII ended.

There are several possibilities:

1) Neither are his father.

2) One or both of them served meals to the combatants.

3) obama is a compulsive liar.

What those bent over backwards to smear the President purposely forget is that there was really only one "father figure" in Obama's life - his maternal grandfather. That father figure has served in WWII and it is quite obvious to all but the conspiracy nuts that it was that father figure - his maternal grandfather - who he was referring to.

unless one uses a (really archaic--maybe last-used around the time of Hastings??) definition of "father" to mean "ancestor" (under which a grandpa would qualify).

No as per the OP controversy, Obama mispoke. He had an Uncle who liberated Buchenwald concentration camp. An error in a detail, not a lie.
