if you cannot handle the wait (which is nothing at allk compared to real life with a foreign spouse) then do your fiancee a favor and give up now.

dont take gary seriously,he has a tendency to crush people's dreams when they are down since he knows it all and all he did during the 4 m onths he was away from his fiancee was getting her college application readyand she got into college as soon as she got to the states yada yada yada,we have heard it all from him.

youre in vermont so i suggest you just take it easy, get a couple of good books, the type you cant put down, find some guilty pleasures on tv,and do some volunteery work and just survive

Just to make you feel a bit better. We waited 192 days for our NOA2. So hang in there. I agree no need to attack you. You just asked a simple question and expected a simple answer. When people in doubt they ask which is exactly what you did.

Now back to a "best of luck". Hope you get it soon.

This is the hardest part (waiting) - you're not that far off the beaten-timeline-path (regardless of witnessing others get approved) - it'll happen. If not already, start preparing for the next steps - they move much faster typically (and can catch ya off guard).

**That said - topic seems more of a Progress/Case-Filing subject - moving thread there from K-1 Proc.

I am in the give-up mood...seeing people getting approved left and right still nothing on our end!

This is so damn stressful to watch at times knowing we have been waiting almost 7 months for a green light to give us permission to go to the next step of being together!!

I seen alot of October filiers on Friday getting approved (congrats to you), but nothing for me and mine (who also filed in Oct.)...what is up with these people at VSC???

Writing my Senator was a waste of time. I guess it wasn't close to election time, maybe they would have helped. But instead they are sitting at the bus stop sucking on a lollipop just like me.

I just want to know if we drop out now and move on to Plan B....do we get our $455 back?

You just sent your I-129F in 2010!

I can definitely say that the initial NOA2 waiting time was the hardest challenge.

Things go much faster after the NOA2. We got our NOA2 on 3/16 and we are going to have the interview on 4/18. :)

You have to be patient. I filed for a fiance visa in 2008 with my now ex in Morocco and that took a year almost exact for him to get approved and get his visa to come here. I am not married to a wonderful man in Egypt January 31, 2010 and we filed our I-130 March 2010. He just had his interview a week ago April 6, 2011. It has been really hard to wait all this time and i do understand how u feel. We now have a 4 month old baby girl and he was not here to see our first child born and has missed some of her life. Only gets to see her in video cam but knowing that he will be here soon makes the wait worth it.So just hang in there and don't let the stress and worry take over your mind. Keep yourself busy.

Patience is a virtue. You know the wait is worth it though, once you are both reunited, wether it is there or stateside, it will all have been a blink in the eye. I was frustrated too when the post office lost my packet then all of a sudden one month later it was delivered. I look for a smooth process going forward, but when I do hit month 5 and have to wait for my senator/congressman for action, I do hope they can help.

We wish you the best

Hey eRica&Toney, James here, I know how it feels to wait, especially if everyone around you is getting approved. However, I'm glad that you contacted your Senator to get things moving along. I had to deal with so many Immigration officers (level 2) over the phone and told to wait 30 days for an update to some internal ticket that I went ahead and contacted my congressman. I still had to wait an additional 90 days before they were able to resolve my issue but my congressman took care of everything.

You can check the official processing times for Vermont Service center here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

If you also want to contact your congressman:

I wish you two the best!

It is refundable, you just have to file 300+ forms and pay $2,500.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Thanks to ALL the positive feedback and I will surely wait for my man!

I called again and ask to speak to a Tier 2 rep, but couldn't get pass the rep answering and she "read" what I already have heard for the past 30 plus days "they are still working on the Sept. 11th cases". I told her not true, so I emailed the VSC headquarters again to see if that helps.

Good Luck to ALL in wait like us!
